Dine under the stars and watch as the sun sets over the fields when you retreat to this delightful Dorset hideaway. Sleeping just two guests, the exquisite lodge makes an exceptional getaway for a couple keen to immerse themselves in the great outdoors. Situated close to the hamlet of Stoke Wake, on a farm 10 miles from Blandford Forum, the single-storey bolthole captures impressive views across beautiful Bulbarrow Hill.

Enter to find a creatively arranged interior offering comfort and style. The open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner features glass French doors that pull the outlook right into the room throughout the changing seasons and can be thrown open on summer days to bring in a fresh breeze. Discover the modern kitchen area which is well equipped to enable you to prepare delicious meals for two with the fresh Dorset ingredients you have sourced. And there are tables inside and out so you can enjoy all-weather dining. Settle on the sofa indoors to watch the Smart TV or make plans for the following day, then head into the double bedroom, which has an en-suite shower room, for a good night's sleep. Watch the sheep in the fields out in the sunny garden on summer mornings. Sizzle supper on the BBQ on warm evenings and sit out under the stars with a bottle of wine.

Head into Blandford Forum on the banks of the River Stour to potter in the shops and dine out. Browse the indoor and outdoor markets, take a tour of the brewery and admire the Georgian architecture. Venture 10 miles to Cerne Abbas to see the great chalk giant or have a day out to the Jurassic Coast, about 20 miles away. Picturesque Lulworth Cove is a 20.5-mile drive and the stunning natural arch of Durdle Door is 19.5 miles from your retreat.

The Retreat is in an ideal location offering peace & quiet, but still within an easy drive of many attractions on offer in Dorset. It is fully equipped and wants for nothing is except sunny weather which I was fortunate to have during my stay :o) Highly recommended.
