This charming cottage is in the village of Misterton, close to the Devon/Dorset border. Set off on romantic countryside walks directly from the property, or head 13 miles south to explore the clifftop paths of the Jurassic Coast. After a long walk, refuel in the local village pub, or eat out in the vibrant market town of Crewkerne (1.5 miles). In the evenings, relax in the pretty garden, sipping a sundowner or sharing a BBQ.

The characterful cottage has a beautiful blend of original features and creature comforts, creating a cosy and homely bolthole. The main living area is open plan, comprising a lounge/diner, and has gorgeous flagstone flooring and a roaring wood burner. Spend time here, sharing romantic dinners for two at the wooden dining table or snuggled up on the sofa watching a film on the Smart TV. Just off the living space is a cute kitchen, with everything needed for a self-catering break. Upstairs, a tranquil king-size bedroom awaits, along with a stylish shower room with a rainfall shower. Outside, steps lead from the kitchen to the split-level, enclosed garden. Here, you'll find a choice of two seating areas for soaking up the sunshine and a BBQ for al fresco dining.

The historic market town of Crewkerne has a good range of independent shops to explore, as well as cafes, pubs, and restaurants. Just outside the town is Bincombe Beeches Nature Reserve, where you can take a peaceful stroll and admire the panoramic countryside views. For a traditional day at the seaside, journey to Lyme Regis (16.5 miles) and eat fish and chips on the promenade, find your inner child in the arcades, and search for fossils on the beach. A very cosy little cottage - we loved it! The kitchen is well equipped which enabled us to cook up all sorts of delights. I loved that the garden was properly enclosed so we were able to just leave the backdoor open and let the dogs wander in and out as they pleased. Loved the HUGE and comfy bed and the shower was wonderful - it had a bit of oomph Read moreto it! The only downside was the noise from the traffic - but I think the bulk of the traffic was being diverted through the village. Hide

The cottage is beautiful, clean, well equipped and has a lovely secure garden, but we would not return because the location is awful, the cottage is situated on a very busy main road with large vehicles passing day and night and there is absolutely nothing in the village except for a petrol station and a pub that offers some very odd opening hours Read moreand does not do food, so any potential guest would have to drive for anything needed. This is a Shane as the cottage is gorgeous. Hide

My Wife and I recommend this cottage to one and all. Cosy Nook is a very pleasant cottage to stay at, it is clean, comfortable and very well equipped. We had a very relaxed and enjoyable stay, our two dogs enjoyed it as well as there are ample walks to do.
