Escape with your loved one or a small family to this enticing cottage in Dorset's Bothenhampton. Sleeping three guests, but with an additional, pull-out, single bed, this enchanting stone retreat has magnificent country views and welcomes one canine pal. It's in a superb location, less than 1 mile from bustling Bridport and a mile from the golden sands of West Bay. After busy days out and about, dine and unwind in the property's beautiful, south-facing garden.

Enter the cottage to find a wealth of rustic charm, as well as all the comforts you'll need for your stay. The reverse-level design of the property maximises the picturesque outlook. The bedrooms, a double and a single, with an additional bed, are on the ground floor. A secret en-suite shower room can be found behind a concealed door in the double room, while the charming family bathroom is also conveniently located at this level. Head upstairs to the lovely, main living accommodation. With wooden beams, exposed stone walls and a vaulted ceiling, the capacious lounge is a splendid space to relax and truly enjoy the views. Here you can also watch the Smart TV, play games and chat about your day. Amble through to the cosy kitchen/diner, which also has a lovely, high ceiling, to prepare meals and gather around the table together. The large courtyard garden is enclosed and has ample space for children and pets to play. You can also dine out under the stars on balmy, summer evenings.

Stroll or drive down to West Bay to swim, play on the sand and hunt for fossils. Here you can also pick up the South West Coast Path and strike out in either direction. Thorncombe Beacon and National Trust-owned Golden Cap are both magical beauty spots along this coastline that are within 5 miles of the cottage. Further afield, Lyme Regis, Coney's Castle and Ave Valley Wildlife Park are all within 15 miles and offer fantastic days out.

Great location, 15 min walk into Bridport. Well equipped and very comfortable. Good selection of games and puzzles. Bridport was a great town with plenty of places to eat, and there are some lovely beaches nearby.

A well appointed, well placed comfortable cottage, in a pleasant village but close to many amenities in nearby Bridport. We enjoyed our stay and would go again except that there are too many other places in the world to explore!

The cottage is in good condition and ideal quiet location for exploring Bridport and West Bay. It was clean and pretty well equipped with lots of hot water and heating. Welcome pack of milk, a lovely bottle of wine and local biscuits was appreciated. The kitchen could benefit from a small dishwasher though and some updated decor and lounge furniturRead moree. Ideally situated for a short break and handy parking too. Hide
