A mile away, Charmouth offers a choice of great pubs, cafes, shops and restaurants and has a lovely sandy beach that’s a favourite for fossil hunting. Historic Lyme Regis (2.5 miles) is where the rugged West Dorset and East Devon coastlines meet. Visit its beautiful harbour for a stroll along the famous 13th-century Cobb wall.
