Just 300 metres from the town’s famous golden sands, this spacious fourth-floor apartment is a light and airy hideaway in the heart of Swanage. With a sunny balcony and bay views, it’s the perfect pad for a trio of beach-loving pals or a small family. It has been decorated in a minimal, contemporary style making this a modern retreat for relaxing between coastal adventures.
Enjoy a bird’s eye view of the bustling seafront from this fabulous holiday retreat. Only moments from the water’s edge, it’s ideal for a party of three who want to be close to all the coastal action, and has a fabulous choice of shops and dining options on the doorstep. Located on fourth-floor level above a High Street store, it welcomes guests into a full-of-light, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner where there’s plenty of space to unwind at the end of a busy day. Splashes of colour accentuate the neutral colour scheme, and all the essentials for a fuss-free stay are here, including a contemporary kitchen and central dining area next to the French doors that lead out onto a balcony where you can enjoy the sunshine and sea air away from the crowds. A choice of seating suggests home-style evenings in front of the TV, and there’s a family bathroom close by when it’s time for your morning refresh. As bedtime approaches, two cosy bedrooms promise peaceful slumbers – the first has a king-size bed and a window seat, and the second has a single bed and a window seat with views towards the bay.
Simply cross the road below the apartment and within a few strides you’ll be at the seafront; turn left and around 300 metres further along you’ll be on Swanage’s gently sloping sands. Head a similar distance in the opposite direction and you’ll arrive at the town’s Victorian pier and gorgeous Prince Albert Gardens. Take a further journey back in time aboard the Swanage Railway, which operates full-size steam and diesel passenger trains from the coast to Corfe Castle (5.5 miles), or visit Lulworth Cove (17 miles), world-famous for its panoramic views, unique geology and crystal-clear waters. To the other side of Swanage, Studland Bay (3.5 miles) is a much-loved beauty spot with, at its southern end, one of the most famous landmarks on the South Coast, the stack of chalk known as Old Harry Rocks. Closer to home, Durlston Country Park (1 mile) is a 320-acre National Nature Reserve with dramatic sea cliffs, walking trails and a Victorian castle.
