Located in a quiet residential area on the edge of town, this chic mid-terrace cottage is perfect for a small family or two couples and their canine companion. Furnished in contemporary style, it features two en-suite bedrooms and a fully enclosed garden, while Swanage’s beautiful seafront is just a mile away.

With a colour palette inspired by the butterfly after which it’s named, this modern holiday property has high-end style and every home essential for an effortless self-catering stay. Situated on the outskirts of town, it welcomes guests into a hallway, off which the on-trend lounge has a choice of seating before its bay window where you can stretch out to watch TV or a DVD at the end of your day’s adventures. Flooded with natural light, the contemporary kitchen/diner will make light work of meal prep and has plenty of space to enjoy the fruits of your labours, as well as French doors onto the garden. A downstairs cloakroom ensures convenience for all, while upstairs the two bedrooms each have their own facilities: choose between a king-size bedroom with an en-suite shower room, or a twin with an en-suite bathroom. After a day at the beach or exploring the Purbeck Hills and Jurassic Coast, enjoy peace and quiet in the pretty rear garden here. Fully enclosed, it has a small patio area, outdoor furniture and a lawn – the perfect spot to soak up some sunshine away from the crowds.

Swanage is ideal for a relaxing family holiday – ride a steam train through the Purbeck countryside, stroll along the Victorian pier or simply spend your time on the gently sloping, golden sands – the beach here is an excellent choice for swimming, sunbathing and games. To explore the coastline further, take a day cruise to Poole Quay and you’ll see the Jurassic Coast and Old Harry Rocks along the way, or stretch your legs with a stroll along the South West Coast Path – Studland Bay (3.5 miles by road) is another much-loved beauty spot.

This is a generous cottage! So many sets of crockery and cutlery, so many toilets, SO many coathangers! It's comfortable and welcoming, a lovely place to stay. But it is quite a hike down to the beach from here, so be prepared for that.

Great house, lovely and clean. Everything we needed was there, even for our dog. There was plenty of off-Road parking all the time as well as the allocated parking space. I would definitely use this house again, best house weve ever rented. We had an amazing time.

We have stayed at Holly Blue twice now and both times have had a lovely stay. I have several boxes that need ticks when I book a holiday. A King size bed, two bathrooms, a garden for our westie and parking on site. Holly Blue ticks all the boxes. It is great. Having The Black Swan pub down the road is an added bonus as they are very welcoming and dRead moreog friendly, they serve good food and beer. We would highly recommend Holly Blue. Hide

Absolutely spotless on arrival. We loved this cottage and would not hesitate to stay again. We immediately felt relaxed and at home. The property had been prepared with so much care and thoughtfulness. I loved the deep bath and slept like a log all week! We found the property very comfortable and met our needs very well. It was clean and well equipped and in a very quite location. The off road parking was a bonus. A pleasant location. A fish shop and a convenience store just down the road was useful.

The house and Swanage itself were perfect to be honest. Such a great holiday and the house was better than expected - clean and enjoyable to stay in. I can't think of anything negative to say. The house is located near ''priests way'' trail if you like to walk. The walks in Swanage are brilliant!

Property was a good size and exceptionally clean. You could walk into Swanage town centre where there were plenty of restaurants, cafes and bars.
