Also nearby is the historic harbour, where you’ll find an array of interesting restaurants, cafes and craft galleries. Sit back with a glass of bubbly and enjoy watching the boats come and go, and perhaps see the dramatic opening of the lifting bridge. Head into the town centre for shopping or to try the array of places to eat and drink. Hike the coastal path, hire a bike or a boat, or head to Nothe Fort, Portland Castle or Chesil Beach, all within 6 miles. staying in for the evening, and there’s a TV for entertainment.
