Set back in the beautiful seaside town of Weymouth, this property is the perfect coastal retreat for anyone seeking a quiet setting for their staycation. Weymouth is renowned for its golden sandy beaches, (ranked 2nd Best in the UK by Tripadvisor 2025), a pretty harbour lined with welcoming pubs and restaurants to soak up the alfresco dining experience, and plenty of takeaway options too.
Stroll along the wide, accessible promenade, through the beautiful Greenhill gardens, offering a free music programme throughout the year, or sit a while and soak up the calming sounds of the shoreline.
Weymouth offers an abundance of attractions away from the town, with Nothe Fort, Sandsfoot Castle, the famous 18 mile stretch of Chesil Beach, and of course the 95 mile long Jurassic coastline taking in the South West coast path.
Dorchester is 8 miles away, the birthplace of author Thomas Hardy and home to a variety of museums such as Keep Military museum and Dorset museum. Dorchester also hosts a weekly historic market every Wednesday.

The single level, ‘L’ Shape annexe has a double bed, en-suite shower facilities, open plan lounge with smart TV and a modern fitted kitchen with cooking facilities and table and chairs. French doors open onto a secluded, sunny courtyard garden with table and chairs for outside dining and comfy chairs for relaxing if the weather allows.
Bumble Bees annexe has a private drive and is set back from a road that provides a frequent bus timetable into Weymouth and neighbouring towns. alternatively, walkers appreciate the accessibility of town, coast and countryside from the property. Cycling is also well catered for with designated cycle paths.

Accommodation was excellent. Very clean, warm & comfortable. The owners had provided a brilliant welcome pack of goodies and all the information we needed for our stay. Although it is situated about two miles from Weymouth town centre it was easily walkable plus there were very regular buses virtually within yards which meant the car was not used dRead moreuring our stay. Small but very well appointed with everything you could need - exceptionally clean & lovely comfy bed. Appreciated goodies provided on our arrival, also owner David very helpful with information etc. .

Had a lovely week at Bumble Bees, its beautifully decorated and well equipped. Weymouth is a short drive away and we enjoyed a day out in Swanage too. We went on a historic boat trip out of Weymouth Harbour and loved sitting watching the boats come and go. The local shop is within walking distance but unfortunately nothing else really is. The propeRead morerty is in an urban area on a main road so dont expect to walk to the beach! This is not a complaint but travellers who dont drive may find it useful. Had a lovely week here the owners went above and beyond with everything in the property, will definitely recommend this property to my family and friends and will probably go back for more holidays here, we even had wall to wall sunshine the whole week!

Beautifully appointed accommodation, we couldn't fault it. We had a warm welcome from the owners who were easily contactable if needed. The location was ideal for bus routes to Dorchester, Weymouth and onward connections, and the road network in the area is excellent.

Excellent location for touring Dorset or using public transport into Weymouth or Dorchester. Local shopping first rate for a self-catering holiday. Wouldnt say it was a cottage more of an annex on the side of the main house, saying that our stay here was fantastic. Whole annex was immaculate couldnt want for anything else .Everything was above and beyond . Highly recommend.

One of the main reasons our holiday in Dorset was so nice was the lovely welcoming accommodation this cottage provided. It was spotlessly clean, the rooms were bright and airy and the facilities, including the sunny outside area and location to the main bus stops were excellent. We will definitely hope to stay there again.
