This coastal retreat is the perfect base for couples and small families looking to explore the breathtaking coast and countryside of Dorset. The traditional seaside town of Swanage is on your doorstep, and you’ll also be within easy reach of the dramatic clifftop paths along the Jurassic Coast, as well as the gorgeous Purbeck Hills. After days spent exploring the region, unwind in the sociable apartment, enjoying far-reaching views as you dine together by the window.

The second-floor apartment is bright and airy, with large picture windows framing views across the town. The open-plan lounge/diner is a tranquil space in which to relax, with calming, neutral tones and a range of comfortable seating. Spend time here, curled up on the sofa to watch TV, or gathered around the dining table by the window. A separate, homely kitchen has everything needed for a self-catering holiday. Completing the accommodation are two inviting bedrooms; a light double room and cosy twin bedroom, both making use of the well-appointed shower room. While the apartment has no outside space, guests are less than half a mile from the beachfront or the delights of Townsend Nature Reserve, two lovely spots for a morning stroll.

Heading into the heart of the town, you’ll discover a vibrant seaside resort with a great range of independent shops and eateries, along with a Victorian pier, long promenade, and sandy beach. In summer, boat trips and fishing excursions depart from the town’s pier (0.5 miles), giving you the opportunity to admire this dramatic landscape from the water. Alternatively, hop on the heritage steam train (0.5 miles) to journey through the Purbeck countryside, past the evocative ruins of Corfe Castle. Further afield, take a day trip to the iconic Dorset beauty spots of Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove (both within 20 miles).

Lovely modern flat with a seaside feel, excellent views across the bay to the sea. Comfortable and clean.

Good location. Very clean and adequate for our needs. It was appreciated that small items like washing up liquid, toilet rolls, salt, pepper, tea, coffee, tin foil, kitchen roll were already there. I would stay there again.

Very comfortable flat with liovely views. Close to the town centre and the only slight problem was the steep access to the car port as a member of our party has mobility problems. Overall very satisfied with the flat and the location.
