West Bay’s East Beach (0.5 miles) is arguably one of Dorset’s finest beaches (and most recognisable, thanks to the TV drama Broadchurch). Enjoy long, lazy afternoons here, swimming in the sea and hunting for fossils along the shoreline. Heading inland, you’ll soon reach the bustling market town of Bridport (2 miles), which has a good range of independent shops and eateries, along with a popular antiques quarter and regular open-air markets. Just 11.5 miles along the coast is Lyme Regis, with its traditional seaside attractions, arcades, and fish and chip shops.
