This welcoming mews-style cottage is located on the outskirts of Swanage, less than half a mile from the town’s pier and beach. Sleeping four guests, the charming holiday home makes a great base for couples and small families looking to explore Dorset with their beloved pooch. Enjoy a traditional day by the sea in Swanage, or head out for long coast and country walks, before returning for an evening tipple in the quaint courtyard garden that awaits.

The home-away-from-home is decorated in calming, neutral tones, and you’ll find plenty of creature comforts to make your stay as relaxed as possible. The light and bright lounge has a choice of comfortable sofas to unwind on after a day of adventure, as well as a cute seating area set in the bay window – the ideal spot for curling up with a good book. The delightful kitchen/diner has everything needed to cater for the group, along with a dining table for sharing mealtimes together. Upstairs, two inviting bedrooms await; a king-size room with scenic views and an en-suite shower room, and a cosy twin. Rounding off this coastal bolthole is a well-appointed family bathroom. Outside, soak up the sunshine in the enclosed courtyard garden, which has furniture for al fresco dining.

Swanage is a picturesque coastal town, full of seaside character and charm. Explore the Victorian pier and promenade, before heading down to the sandy beach where you can hire a colourful beach hut for the full holiday experience (all within 0.5 miles). Throughout summer, fishing trips and wildlife excursions offer the opportunity to get out on the water from the town’s pier (0.5 miles), while the heritage steam train (0.5 miles) provides majestic jaunts through the Purbeck countryside. Close to the town centre and country parks, which was great. Also close to Corfe Castle and Wareham. The walk back from the High Street is steep, but doable. The cottage is cosy and warm. Probably best suited to a young family. We visited Swanage over New Year and found it to be very quiet, with limited restaurants on offer. We wouldn't return at tRead morehat time of year, but it looks like a nice place to visit in Summer. Hide

The lounge was quite dark, the oven was complicated, good tin opener needed, the garden was very small with tall trees and we like to spend time in the garden relaxing at the end of the day. Location was great, double bed very comfy, dvd's appreciated.

Well situated to beach and lovely walks. The house was clean and great to have a welcome pack. Parking next to front door which would be most welcome to people who are unable to walk far. Would be definitely using this property again
