Beautiful house set so close to the sea you could almost reach out and touch it . Comfortable beds and well equipped kitchen . We had a lovely weekend here for my friends hen do , and we made great use of the fabulous large sitting room and dining area . We really enjoyed our stay at Dolphin Cottage - amazing to be so close to the sea, with fantastic views. The kitchen is well equipped (good to have more plates, bowls etc than you need); this is a rarity. Thanks for a great week - we hope to come back!

Excellent and prompt service from the company to replace smoke detector batteries. Some of the items in the kitchen were unclean - the grill pan was full of grease, some plates were dirty and the freezer contained a half eaten bowl of ice cream.

Property was in a wonderful location . Some of the furnishings etc were a bit tired but all usable. Needed to be mindful of Person in flat below . Parking a bit of a pain .

We loved the rambling old house, the situation, the bohemian atmosphere and the views! A great family space for the children and adults, we all enjoyed watching the sea from the big bow window and walking on Peveril point in the wind. The house was warm despite wet and wild weather. The kitchen was well equipped with some unusual things, we liked tRead morehis as we did our own catering. Would like to stay longer and explore the well stocked bookshelves! We did have difficulty finding it, the directions perhaps could have warned us against a door at the back (by car park) marked 'No. 3' with a key safe next to it. It would be helpful to have clearer information - that the entrance is at the front (seaward) side, and that it is possible to drive down and quickly unload. It also would help to know that you have to drive through a No Entry sign to reach the property. We understood there was no garden but others might benefit from some additional, positive information about the fact that the SW coats path passes below the garden and that there are interesting walks into town and onto the downs within 1 minute of the property. Some neighbours seemed overly nervous about us, which is a pity because we are considerate and respectful. Hide

Only marked comfort down because all of the seating in the lounge was SO uncomfortable, either too big, too low or too hard. Beds were great. Lots of bulbs out but we mentioned this to the housekeeper so hopefully this has been rectified.
