The location of the cottage is ideal for visiting swanage and being in the main town. However the cottage needs a refresh through as is looking tired.

Good location but wouldnt recommend as there are parts of it in dire need of modernisation and its not value for money. Garden is very steep. Lacking in cupboard space. Seating in living room is low and I struggled to get up from easy chairs. Upstairs was cosy and bed comfortable. The lean to at back of house is rotting with lots of gaps aRead moret the bottom which lets slugs through. Hide

This could be a lovely cottage to stay in but we had a few problems. Surprised to find there was no Microwave which was definitely needed as the pans were so huge ie scrambled egg impossible to make! Fridge / Freezer listed which in fact was a freezer within the fridge, which was totally frozen up so it could not be used. The grass was about a foRead moreot high so had to ring for a gardener to sort out, despite the previous people also saying they call for a gardener. Nowhere to put my clothes in the single room so had underwear on the floor and shirts etc in the main room with Mum. Plumber had to be called to fix the shower - never did work out how to fill the bath except from the shower ! Hide

The cottage was cosy and comfortable and we liked the option to sit out in the garden. The location is ideal - it was nice to have a parking place outside, be near to the town and be close to places for nice walks. Also, the day we went on the Swanage Railway we were able to walk across the fields to Herston Halt Request Stop Station.

Lovely comfortable cottage. Only downside was traffic noise when we left the window open at night (we had particularly hot weather). Would definitely stay again.

This is a nice cottage in a fantastic location. However the cottage is advertised with a garden which the grass hadn't been cut for at least a month .We had to contact original cottages about this as we had a dog .They were brilliant and had a gardener round within 2 days . The tv is very small and the sofa isn't that comfortable. The cottage couldRead more do with an iron and better storage for food .Especially if you are there for a week or more holiday. The beds were comfortable but the blind in the small bedroom was broken and couldn't be pulled up so this room was very dark all the time .We had a lovely holiday but we don't feel that the new pricing is value for money . We had a lovely time at The Nook. It was clean and welcoming. The walk to the beach took about 25 minutes. Buses were easily accessible and good value.

Nice cottage but on a very busy road which we werent aware of. Downstairs needs updating with more comfortable furniture. Garden needs more care . We asked for the grass to be cut as impossible to clear dog mess with it being so long . In fact I took the dog out every morning to avoid this. We eventually had the offer of it being cut on our lasRead moret morning which we felt was too late Hide

A clean and tidy cottage in a nice area, it lacks a Microwave oven and the freezer compartment on the fridge is not usable due to the door not opening wide enough. No bedside or coffee tables and a lack of clear instruction on the heating if needed. Small TV but it works well. I would say a grade 3 property, not a grade 4.

Compact little cottage on the outskirts of Swanage. More than adequate for a short break although possibly more suited to a couple than for three. Good bed , nice linen and towels and a modern bathroom. We didnt cook at all but appeared to be everything you would need to do so. There are some lovely local cafes and restaurants so we enjoyed trying Read morethem out ! Not the easiest of places to pull up to unload on arrival but after that we managed to park each day just a little way down the road where there are parking spaces off the road. Access to the little garden is up a few steep steps so be mindful if you intend to use the garden or need to let a dog out. We did have a nice time - but be aware its too far to walk to the beach really and we had to use our car which adds to the parking fees. Hide
