  • Decorated with care in soothing tones with natural textures
  • Ideally placed for touring the Jurassic Coast on foot or by car
Property code: OC-87529

Escape to this bright, ground-floor apartment in the Dorset village of Charmouth and have a romantic weekend on the Jurassic Coast with your significant other. Sleeping two guests, the one-bedroom bolthole is ideally placed for the shops and eateries of the village, as well as for reaching the beach, 1.5 miles away. It is just 3 miles from Lyme Regis, with its broad array of shops, cafes and pubs.

Step inside and make yourselves at home. Discover the heart of the property is its open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, where you can sit back and relax. Head over to the stylish kitchen area to unpack any fresh produce you have bought and prepare homecooked meals. Find a film to watch together in the evening on the Smart TV or choose one of the games that have been left out for you. As night falls, climb one step up to your king-size bedroom, which has an en-suite bathroom, with a free-standing bath. This apartment does not have a garden, but guests will appreciate being able to stroll down to the beach. There is one parking space.

Pack a picnic and your beach gear and amble down to the beach to swim, soak up the sunshine and search for fossils. Charmouth Beach is said to be one of the best places in the UK for finding fossils; indeed, some of those found here can be seen in the Charmouth Heritage Coast Centre. Visit Lyme Regis to join a fossil-hunting tour there or to take a boat trip out along the Jurassic coastline. Afterwards, wander the charming streets, browsing in shops and choosing a cafe to pause in for afternoon tea. Follow the South West Coast Path from Charmouth to West Bay for 7 miles, which includes going up to the National Trust’s Golden Cap cliff.

Great location, easy parking, near to shop and pub. Easy walk to beach, only steep for a short distance near cottage. Powerful shower with hot water. Good equipment, oven, stove, washing machine and slimline dishwasher. Good smart TV. Comfortable bed.

A great little rental. Many positive features. Parking at the front door. Very well stocked with kitchen utensils and dishes. Generous with products. Nice big bathroom and towels. Alexa speaker, appreciated for music. 15 minutes easy walk to beach. For me as a cook there is limited food preparation space. That said, it is manageable. (No2 has greatRead more counter space). As a downstairs flat you do get noice from any upstairs renters. Only real negative is the sofa is decidedly uncomfortable. Hide

Settee saggy and uncomfortable, no proper wardrobe for longer stayers only open unit with short hanging length, outside furniture heavily rusted so didn't use. We were unfortunate to get noisy people in flat upstairs partway through so left after 4 days of a 2 week stay and found somewhere much quieter and wirh better facilities. May be okay for a Read moreweekend but could do with improvements. Carpets to dull the sound from upstairs, better settee and attractive outdoor furniture. Hide

Lovely, well furnished cottage, away from the main road, 2 pubs close by, and the sea just 10 minutes walk away. And Charmouth is surrounded by really nice countryside to visit

Excellent character cottage centrally located in the high street of Charmouth. The village has every amenity and is comfortably and homely and is only a short walk to the wonderful beach and coast path. The pub opposite offers great food but you need to book as it is very popular.

Very comfortable cottage with modern decor and excellent facilities, as far as we were concerned no faults an all. The welcome pack was much appreciated. 1 Albury in Charmouth was ideal for a few days away. The pub opposite was always a winner as the sun set. It's ideal for dog owners. The beach was the cleanest beach I've ever seen...not one bottle, bag or fish net etc. Lyme Regis is 10min drive. Recommend 100%

We found the apartment an absolute delight, maintained to a very high standard with all the amenities we needed for our very enjoyable stay. The added touches and gifts left for us to enjoy, demonstrated the owners proudness and care that they have exhibited with their apartment. We will definitely book this apartment again. Thank you.

Attractive and comfortable property convenient to shop and pub. Spacious and modern with a comfortable bed and all you need in terms of kitchen equipment. Parking is a bonus in Charmouth. This was our second visit. Only a small no of problems. As mentioned in another review the window coverings in the bedroom & bathroom give no privacy. The cups anRead mored glasses are all stored on a very high shelf. We have suggested that the owners move the heavy picture hanging above the bed head for safety reasons Hide
