Set amongst luscious woods, this welcoming lodge is an ideal romantic escape for a couple who love to immerse themselves in nature. A fabulous, covered veranda provides a great spot for enjoying and evening tipple after busy days exploring Dorset’s iconic landscape.

Step into this wooden-clad cabin via the shared entrance and find a welcoming entrance hall where you can leave your walking boots. Lead into the open-plan living area comprising of a lounge, kitchen, and dining area. Create meals in the contemporary kitchen and enjoy a romantic meal together at the two-seater dining table. After eating, flick on the Smart TV and snuggle up on the sofa for a relaxing evening in. Back via the hallway is the welcoming bedroom which contains a king-size bed and is a great spot for getting some good rest. Completing the interior of the lodge is a sleek and stylish shower room with a WC. Outdoors, you can enjoy the abundance of nature and the leaf canopy from your own private veranda. It’s covered so you can curl up with a glass of wine or morning coffee whatever the weather. Private parking is provided.

Surrounding the area, you will find plenty of opportunities for scenic walks. Visit the picturesque Sculpture by the Lakes Botanical Garden (9 miles) or the abundance of walking routes at Morden Bog National Nature Reserve (16 miles). You will also be close to the dramatic Jurassic Coastline, popular hotspots such as Lulworth Cove (17 miles) and Weymouth Beach (20 miles) have plenty to see and do whether you want to enjoy relaxing days or challenging activities.

The cottage has a lovely view over the garden, friendly owners and adorable pets. A nice place to relax!

We felt very over looked by the owners, which was not made clear we would be, on our last evening the owner & several other people were stood directly in front of our balcony chatting for a long time, playing music, and not giving us privacy. We definitely did not find this to be a peaceful getaway and found all this to be very inconsiderate. We weRead morere so disappointed we packed up and left that evening instead of the morning. We were not aware that they have two dogs & two cats and on arrival we were told to look out incase they hadnt cleaned up all the poo. Not the first thing you want to hear. All very different from what the advert describes. Hide

Beautiful little lodge set in a beautiful little village. The owners were incredibly nice and welcoming and offered up plenty of advice and information about the local area. The lodge itself was very clean and had plenty of space for two adults. There is a local cafe (The View Coffee Shop) which is 5-10 minute walk and then gives opportunities for Read morelots of walks from there (down to the abbey with a coffee was really nice - about 30-45 minutes). The pub in the village was a 5 minute walk and the food and drink were very reasonable. Would definitely stay here again. Hide

Comfortable lodge with pleasant owners next door. Aptly named as the woodland view from the verandah was lovely and there was so much birdsong. A good location for walking or accessing much of Dorset. also with pleasant owners.

Beautiful cabin just the right size for two people. Quiet surroundings and fantastic local walks. Really comfy bed.

This cabin is as delightful as it looks. The woodland garden is very beautiful, so the veranda is fabulous. With it being a covered veranda, I was able to sit out there even when it was raining. Very comfortable. Clean and tidy. Owner always on hand if any problems arise (which during our staybdid not).
