This three-bedroom cottage is in the heart of Burton Bradstock, a pretty village known for its sandstone cliffs. The charming property makes a cheerful base for families who fancy mixing peaceful village life with days out by the sea. Hive Beach (0.5 miles) is on hand for sandy picnics and salty breezes, while the bustling harbour and tempting eateries of West Bay sit just 2 miles along the coast. With space for seven guests and one dog welcome, this place is made for a family holiday or trip among good friends.
On arrival, drop your boots and coats in the handy vestibule before stepping into the inviting lounge. Here, sunlight pours through the windows, and a decorative fireplace sits within a gorgeous original inglenook. You’ll have lots of sofa space and a Smart TV to keep you entertained in the evening. A cosy dining area sits just beyond, leading to the well-appointed kitchen at the rear. You can head out to the garden from here or take a couple of steps from the lounge to reach the shower room. Upstairs, you’ll have two king-size bedrooms along with a triple room with three singles, plus a family bathroom. Outside, the garden is a layered space with a breakfast nook right by the doors, outdoor chairs for soaking up the afternoon warmth, and a sociable dining area perfect for meals under the open sky. Children will love playing on the generous lawn, shaded by mature trees, and in the sweet little Wendy house. Parking is on the surrounding streets (subject to availability – you can unload directly outside).
There’s plenty to do nearby, with Abbotsbury, Pilsdon Pen, and the mighty Cerne Abbas Giant all within 20 miles. Pretty Lyme Regis (12 miles) is fantastic for a day out by the sea, with its independent shops and fossil-rich coastline.
