When it’s time to get fed, cook up a storm in the cool kitchen with all you need to prepare feasts. Cool your drink with ice from the ice compartment and take a tipple outside to the garden with its pretty patio and blooming shrubs and trees which offer you a spot of al fresco privacy. Freshen up in the contemporary shower room and pop muddy, sandy clothes in the washing machine, sitting in a cupboard, so you can get up and head straight out for adventures in the morning. For a day by the sea, head into Weymouth (4 miles) and treat yourselves to a delicious lunch in between sunbathing and swimming. A 15-mile trip along the coast will take you to the horseshoe-shaped cove at Lulworth, from where you can walk 1.5 miles to admire the spectacular arch at Durdle Door. Steeped in history, visit the Victorian Nothe Fort (5 miles) and the ancient ruins of the cliffside castle, Sandsfoot (5 miles).
