The town boasts four miles of glorious coastline, with some beautiful sandy beaches. Mudeford Sandbank is a particular favourite amongst locals, and enjoys far-reaching views towards the Isle of Wight. There is no direct road to the beach, meaning it’s rarely crowded, and instead is reached by a cute land train from Hengistbury Head. Just 8 miles along the coast is the lively town of Bournemouth, known for its excellent collection of bars and restaurants, as well as an impressive sandy beach.
