Step inside through this property’s back door into the fantastic double aspect kitchen, which boasts a high vaulted ceiling with exposed trusses, range oven, American-style fridge/freezer for stocking up for the whole trip and large French doors opening onto the garden. Once prepared, the charming dining room with farmhouse table, window shutters and original display cabinets make a delightful place to enjoy family meals. Ideal for multi-generational parties, this property offers both a snug with open fire and a spacious lounge with leather sofas. The accommodation was perfectly located to explore the area for the week and was excellently presented. Having a great pub so close was also an ideal option to choose when not self-catering and there was everything you needed for this in a great kitchen space.

We really enjoyed our stay - it's a lovely property in a lovely area. It's an ideal base for exploring all the main local places of interest e.g. Bridport, Weymouth, Dorchester, Lyme Regis, Abbotsbury. Having a pub and farm shop in Portesham within easy walking distance was a bonus.

Highly recommended cottage for family or couples. The cottage very well equipped and very clean. The location was brilliant for exploring this part of Dorset. We managed 3 walks from this cottage, with other walks by catching the Coastal bus service. Bus stop located across the road from the Kings Arms. The two off street car parking was ideal.
