This charming cottage, located in the small village of Uploders, is an ideal hideaway for couples. This cosy property is tastefully decorated in a pleasant country-cottage style, while a babbling unfenced stream that runs through the garden makes it the perfect place to relax. Its proximity to the pub (1 mile) and coast (4.5 miles) makes it an enviable location for two to enjoy a peaceful holiday, however you like to unwind.

Enter this pretty cottage through the hall and into the welcoming lounge, where warm tones and beautiful exposed stone encourage you to curl up on the sofa with a good book in front of the wood burner. Take a step up into the well-equipped kitchen to fix yourself something to eat, and enjoy it at the table looking out through the sunroom windows. Enjoy a soothing soak in the bath after a long day of walking in the bright and airy bathroom – there’s also a shower over the bath if you prefer. Be careful on the winding narrow stairs up to the inviting double bedroom, where soft, calming decor and exposed beams will help you get a great night’s sleep, but watch your head in the low eaves! Outside, colourful plants and garden furniture offer the ideal spot for an al fresco drink in the evening, listening to the stream and watching the sun go down.

Take a wander around the lively market town Bridport (4 miles) and discover the local shops and cafes, then head 2 miles further down to West Bay beach, known as the gateway to the Jurassic Coast. Take one of the many walking routes to discover spectacular views and diverse wildlife. Eggardon Hill (3.5 miles), an Iron Age hill fort, is another good place for walking, with views across the Marshwood Vale to the coast.

The kitchen is exceptionally well equipped with quality dinner service/mugs etc. The bedroom has great, if tired storage, and the bed and bedding is also exceptionally good quality. Because of the age of the property the stairs would not be suitable for anyone with mobility or balance issues. Currently the cottage needs a spring clean/steam clean

Lovely little cottage to stay in, great situation from the coast, great little garden, just needs some little tweaks, towels and a more comfy set of living room furniture after a long day.

This cottage was out of the way but in a nice and quiet spot. Shame the neighbour opposite came over to complain about the parking which seems to be an annoyance for her. We found lovely places to explore with the dog in the car but the local pub which was walking distance was closed.

Beautiful little cottage in a very quiet village. Perfect location for exploring the local area! Parking was not a problem. The bed was comfy and the kitchen was very well equipped. Beautiful location, unfortunately the local pub had inexplicably just shut down. The cottage is small but adequate for 2, facilities are good, high quality actually. Cosy little cottage with kitchen in extension and small garden. A small stream flows under the kitchen and out through the garden. The cottage itself is comfy and well maintained, the village is quiet and sadly even the pubs not open on Mondays. The village is tucked away so transport is essential to get in to town.
