Plan a family escape and choose this attractive property that’s set just 7.5 miles from Wareham. Sleeping four guests across two bedrooms, your holiday accommodation is single-level and homely with a vast garden that’s ideal for those balmy summer evenings sipping wine and delving into al fresco suppers. Handily located beside the A31, you’ll soon be setting off to explore the Jurassic Coast and nearby market towns.

Quirky and comfortable with wooden flooring underfoot and sloping ceilings, this former coach house is brimming with character. The open-plan living space features a wooden panel that was actually part of the original stalls. This now separates the chic kitchen area from the lounge/diner, so you’ll be able to relax, cook and dine at leisure. Throw open the doors and let the outside in, stepping into the garden to sip your first coffee of the day on the lawn. There are two cosy bedrooms, and the bathroom completes the property. Off-road parking is available for two cars.

A 17.5-mile drive will bring you to historic Sturminster Newton, a town renowned for its friendly charm, interesting museum and beautiful views of the Blackmore Vale. Walkers and cyclists are well catered for with pretty riverside walks along the River Stour and access to the 14-mile North Dorset Trailway. Further afield, the cosmopolitan allure of Bournemouth, 16 miles away, will prove tempting to those who adore entertainment, traditional beachside amusements and retail therapy. Corfe Castle is a majestic sight for history-seekers, 12.5 miles away, and Lulworth Cove is simply stunning with its sandy beach, azure sea and impressive views of Durdle Door, 14 miles away.

Wonderful place to stay. The Hayloft is very comfortable and well equipped and the cottage owners are very friendly and helpful. Cottage is perfectly situated for visiting many different locations in Dorset. The large enclosed garden was perfect for the dog and we were very close to lots of lovely dig walks. Would definitely stay here again.

Great central location for visiting all of the area around Poole and Swanage. The Hayloft is a well equipped and comfortable private property and the owners include lots of helpful information about places to visit. The village itself is a very quaint pretty village although you do need to cross the main road to walk down to the river.

The Hayloft is a superb conversion, with a good-sized kitchen, dining area cum lounge. Very comfortable and relaxing. The large enclosed lawn was a bonus. The owners were extremely generous and thoughtful with just the right level of Christmas decorations. It had made it a memorable Festive break.

The Hayloft was a lovely barn conversion. The beds were so comfortable. The kitchen had everything you could want. My parents benefitted from everything being on one level. We enjoyed the prosecco and chocolates supplied by the hosts who were very friendly and approachable. Monty visited a couple of times and my dog enjoyed playing with him. The gaRead morerden was enclosed and perfect for the dog to play in. Would highly reccomend. Hide

The Hayloft has a large secure garden separate from the owners house and garden so great for dogs. Beds are comfortable as are the lounge furnishings. Kitchen has ample appliances and the fridge/freezer consists of a large fridge and large freezer (not just a fridge with a small freezer inside). The cottage is located about 20m from the busy A31 anRead mored although we had no issue with noise we found it difficult to cross on foot to the village so used the car instead. We very much enjoyed our stay. Hide
