We couldn't fault the cottage, or its immediate surrounds, but Scotts Lane was quite busy at all times and there was no low speed limit, despite there were three entranes to the Monkton Wyld Caravan Park, which opposite the cottage. There was no footpath along the road which made it rather difficult when we had to walk alongb the lane with our dogRead more. We were also disappointed there were very few local facilities, which meant a drive into Axminster for any serious food shopping. Cottage A1; Location poor, Hide

A lovely bungalow, well equipped and maintained, with a lovely Garden, in a lovely wooded location. These parts of Dorset & Devon are very attractive, with a variety of particular places to visit and enjoy. We had some very good pub lunches.

Very pleasant stay. The property had plenty of room for us and our Golden Retriever. The fenced back garden was good and the exercise field a few yards up the road was great for letting off canine steam. There's a handy shop over the road for essentials. The location was excellent for exploring the Charmouth, Lyme Regis and Seaton areas. The HunterRead mores Lodge Inn served decent pub food and was very dog friendly. It was only 3 minutes drive away, but you wouldn't want to walk there because you'd be walking on the A35 with no footpath. Hide

What a wonderful place Laneside is. Ideally placed to visit Lyme Regis, Burton Bradstock, Sidmouth and surrounding areas. Great for walking, especially dog walking. Having dog paddock so close is a real bonus. The cottage is comfy, cosy and very clean with everything you could need. We've just been on our second visit and looking to book again.

What a find ! First visit to Laneside ... not the last. Spotlessly clean, cosy bungalow, ideal for me, my labrador and my sister. Clean, comfortable and spacious bungalow. Great for a larger dog with an enclosed garden. Incredibly well equipped, we asked reception about a cheese grater, within 2 hours a new one was hand delivered! Decent WiFi for teens. No smart TV, but choice of DVDs for rainy days. 8 minutes to Charmouth. The dog paddock is behind the garden and you can seeRead more over the fence so feels a little open. The road is much busier than expected so there is traffic noise. Perfect base, already booked again! Hide

A comfortable, well-appointed bungalow in an attractive location. Plenty to see and do within a few miles' drive and the cottage is well-connected, being close to the A35 but sufficiently far away for traffic noise not to be an issue. The property is certainly one to which we would return.

We stayed at Laneside for a week, mid August. It was very welcoming, from when you enter. Clean, fully equipped and very comfortable. There is even a small carton of milk in the fridge. Nice little bungalow with a secure garden for our dog - close to the dog walking field so might not suit an easily triggered pet. The proximity to the campsite was useful for the site shop and food trucks. Especially useful because the fridge in the kitchen is tiny and the extra fridge in the utility room wasn't plugged in.
