Charmouth (1 mile) has a beautiful beach and a choice of friendly pubs. It is known for its long history of fossil discoveries which you can learn about in the Charmouth Heritage Centre. To the south-west, Lyme Regis (2.5 miles) is home to another gorgeous beach as well as attractions including the beautiful Langmoor and Lister Gardens, the Mary Anning Rocks Statue, The Town Mill and Dinosaurland Fossil Museum. Inland, you can visit Forde Abbey and Gardens, Foxdown Children's Farm and Axe Valley Wildlife Park, all within 10 miles.
