Enjoy a traditional seaside getaway with family and friends in this spacious holiday home in Lyme Regis. Spend your days building sandcastles, swimming in the sea, or playing crazy golf, before dining in one of the town’s many waterfront restaurants. Further afield, enjoy day trips to the vibrant market town of Bridport and the iconic, cliff-backed beach at West Bay (both within 10 miles).

The period property is light and airy, with an open-plan layout. Each room is decorated in tones to complement the surrounding coastal landscape, and you’ll spot little nautical touches throughout the property. Enter into the lounge/diner, where a warm welcome awaits thanks to the roaring wood burner. Share family mealtimes around the table, before relaxing on the sofas to watch TV. A stained-glass door leads to the bespoke kitchen, which features handmade cabinets and all the equipment needed to whip up delicious feasts. Cottage-style stairs lead to the first floor and a pretty double bedroom with an en-suite bathroom. A further flight of stairs takes you to the remaining bedrooms and a stylish shower room. The enclosed, courtyard garden is a real suntrap, and is a delightful place for a morning coffee or family BBQ. There’s also a handy outside WC and a storage area for outdoor gear.

Lyme Regis is a hub for water sports, and from the beach you can hire paddleboards or kayaks to explore the Jurassic Coast from the sea. Boat tours also depart from the town throughout the summer months. The South West Coast Path passes through Lyme Regis, and the clifftop path leading towards Poole provides truly breathtaking views across the bay. The beaches in the area are excellent for fossil hunting, and you can join guided tours to increase your chances of securing a special souvenir from your holiday.

A perfect location to be able to explore the area. Very comfortable house with everything we needed. The welcome pack was a lovely touch, including treats for our dog (we left her at home on this occasion) Only slight drawback, although it does inform you this is the case, is the lack of parking. Although it does state there are parking bays nearbyRead more for unloading, the library is being refurbished so the spaces were filled with builders vans, meaning a trek uphill to unload and load luggage. Great location being at the top the High St and close to all the amenities. Lyme has some lovely shops, cafes and restaurants. The house has a lovely little courtyard at the back for alfresco dining. Inside the cottage has all the basics you need for a great family holiday. A word of warning though about the parking. It is now 80 per week to park iRead moren the public car parks. This has nothing to do with the cottage but for those on a tight budget it is something to bear in mind. Hide

Great location, with easy reach to eateries, the beach, local park, shops etc. Cottage had everything we needed, with the added bonus of an enclosed garden. Nicely decorated, quite light and airy for a cottage. Take a deep breath when you pay for parking, which is 80 pw, shocking but commensurate with the area.

We had a lovely week at Silver Cottage. The house had everything we needed and more. We stayed with our 6month old and the travel cot was good quality with an additional mattress so it was really comfy unlike some that have a really hard base, there was even bibs and kids cutlery. Ideal house for our week in Lyme Regis. 2 adults, 2 teens plus 1 dog all very well accommodated in an excellent location. We fossiled and swam and were spoilt for choice for shopping and eating options (the Greek bbq takeaway at the harbour and Lal Qilla were favourites). Thank you!
