Gaze out across the Jurassic coastline from the four-bedroom cottage at St Alban’s Head, which sleeps six guests and welcomes two dogs. Wander down to pretty Chapman’s Pool, where strong swimmers can snorkel in the sea. Drive 5 miles into Swanage to spend time on the sandy beach and swim in child-friendly waters.

Arrive to discover sea views from many of the rooms here. Choose between two lounges, both with open fires and one with a TV. Find the kitchen features an AGA oven, hob, microwave, air fryer, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, and washing machine. Cook delicious meals then pull a chair up to the table. Discover there is a WC downstairs, while the family bathroom is on the first floor, together with the bedrooms, all of which have far-reaching views. One of these is a king-size bedroom, with a wood burner; then there are two double rooms and a twin. Sit outside to soak up the stunning scenery. Play with the children on the grass but be aware there is an unsecured gate opening on to the clifftop. Find parking for three cars at the property. Although the location is unrivalled for views and peace and quiet , we were very dissapointed by the house. It was scruffy sparse and dirty and damp. The bathroom is particularly unplesant. It felt like student accomodation.

Beautiful house in stunning location. Right on the coast and the coast path. A place to be at one with nature. This was my third time there.

Perfect location for some amazing coastal walks, to Chapman's Pool, Winspit and further afield. Well stocked kitchen supplies, including a fast hot plate. Cozy and warm in the winter with electric radiators. Yes, the potholes are still there. Just drive slowly and you'll be fine.

This was a beautifully located property and we had a lovely holiday in this isolated, dark sky ,so fab for star gazing house. Nice to see Wildlife and birds. As a heads up road to house is full of potholes which after the rain was a bit difficult to miss. I would point out that house info says not to drink water from tap but this is not pointed outRead more on house description when booking so take a few bottles. Cottage is comfortable, and in a quiet and picturesque location. Well equipped. We enjoyed our third stay in this property. Compliments to the housekeeping team for their help with the midpoint clean and linen change, we were delighted with everything they did. One point to note, the internet connection is very slow, and despite there being boosterRead mores, there is connectivity on only one side of the house (kitchen side), no connection in the lounge or the bedrooms on that side of the house. House is in a peaceful location. Access road is bumpy but some parts smoother than when we first stayed. Be prepared for a dusty/dirty car, especially if it rains. Local carwash very handy. House well equipped, views quite spectacular. Looking forward to returning next year.

If you want quiet, birds and a seaview, this is perfect. A large cottage with big rooms, upstairs carpeted, downstairs tiled floor throughout. Front and back gardens are secure and great for small children to play. The track is potholed and other comments about no low-slung cars is right but going slowly, a small 2-wheel drive car can do it. Great isolated location although, as others have said, the potholed unmade road should be allowed for. This, plus the lack of sufficient bathroom/shower for 8 people, and lack of water from the taps in the one bathroom, brings down the comfort and value for money.
