Escape to this inviting Dorset cottage, a charming base for couples and families looking to explore the Jurassic Coast and nearby countryside. Every day promises a new adventure, before returning to cosy evenings by the wood burner or enjoying the gorgeous views from the garden.
Enter through the rear patio doors into the bright kitchen/diner, where there's a rack to leave sandy shoes before preparing leisurely meals to enjoy around the dining table. The cook will find everything they need at hand, including a microwave and a dishwasher. The adjoining lounge is warm and relaxing, with a Smart TV and a wood burner creating an inviting space for quiet evenings. Cottage-style stairs lead to the first floor, where two spacious double bedrooms offer tranquil places to unwind (please bear in mind that, in one of them, one side of the bed is against the wall). They share an elegant family bathroom with a shower over the bath. On sunny days, make the most of the long garden, which has a gentle slope and steps leading to various levels. Dine alfresco on the patio, swing lazily in the hammock or set up family games on the lawn. On-street parking is available directly outside or opposite the property (subject to availability), with additional parking possible near the village pub, with a permit.
The tranquil village of Church Knowle has a 13th century church and a friendly pub that’s just 20 metres from your door. Visit the National Trust’s 1,000-year-old Corfe Castle (2 miles) and enjoy atmospheric ruins and superlative views, or head to the market town of Wareham (5.5 miles) for shops, cafes and scenic riverside walks. The coast is just 3.5 miles away at Kimmeridge Bay, while Old Harry Rocks, Swanage, Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door are all within 13 miles.
