With its sheltered garden and bright open-plan living area, this tranquil, town-centre property is perfect for a group of friends or family with one canine companion seeking quality time together by the coast. Fill your time with lazy beach days, special meals out and traditional seaside activities while also being close to the iconic Old Harry Rocks on the Jurassic Coast and a large, scenic nature reserve.

Climb a set of stone steps to reach the entrance of the cottage. On the ground floor of this three-storey property is the main living space with underfloor heating – an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. At the end of the room are large glass doors and windows which open onto the garden and let the fresh air in. Gather on the sofa around the TV and coffee table for a competitive games night and enjoy homemade meals at the wooden dining table with bench seating. Behind this is a spacious, farmhouse-style ‘U’-shaped kitchen with wooden worktops and colourful tiling. On the first floor is a double bedroom with an en-suite shower room, a bunk bedroom, and a family bathroom. An additional double bedroom with low ceilings is on the second floor. Outside is a decked garden with furniture.

You’ll be surrounded by cosy pubs, shops, and attractions during your stay in the heart of Swanage. Pack your bucket and spades and head to the nearby sandy shores of Swanage Beach (0.5 miles), or let your hair down at the mini golf park (0.5 miles). Stroll along the coastal path to the historic 19th-century Swanage Pier (0.5 miles) and take a picnic to the dog-friendly Prince Albert Gardens (1 mile). Spend an afternoon at the Durlston Country Park and National Nature Reserve (1 mile) and visit Old Harry Rocks (5 miles).

Booked this house for a Christmas break with family and dog. The house is modern but with character and extremely comfortable. It is tastefully decorated and very well equipped. It is over 3 floors and there are steps to the front door so may not suit those with mobility issues although access from the car parking has only a couple of steps. The sRead moretandard of furniture and, crockery, equipment etc is good. We had a really good time. Plenty of places to walk the dog and dog friendly venues for eating and drinking. The owners had made a great effort with really effective Christmas decorations and friendly touches such as a gift for the dog. Overall it is a really nice house in a good location. Hide

Good location and well appointed. Close to beach, steam train, shops and restaurants. Very comfy house.

We had a lovely time in sunny Swanage.. Appreciated the welcome goodies for us and dog. Also the shopper and sandwich bags, tea / coffee and beach items were very handy thank you.
