Located in the glorious village of Studland, a natural jewel in the crown of the Purbeck Peninsula, this luxury holiday retreat is an excellent base for discovering Dorset. You’ll be 0.5 miles from Studland’s spectacular South Beach, which marks the start of a 4-mile stretch of National Trust Land along the bay. Comfortably sleeping nine guests, the beautifully presented five-bedroom property is wonderful for a trip with extended family, or perhaps a get-together between old friends and their offspring.
This three-storey abode blends the building’s original character with contemporary fittings and a high standard of decor. On the lower ground floor, watch TV with fellow guests in the large family room, which has patio doors leading to the garden. A separate games room with a pool table is wonderful for children (and big children). Head up to the ground floor to reach a spacious kitchen/diner which opens into a spectacular sunroom with comfortable seating, sea views and another TV. This area leads to an expansive sun deck which is a dream during the summer months. The stylish kitchen is well equipped for group catering, while the long dining table creates the perfect spot for leisurely meals that go late into the night. You’ll also have a welcoming lounge on this level, with wooden flooring, comfortable seating, a wood burner, another TV and a DVD player. Outside, the large lawned garden is fantastic for dogs and children to play, while the adults can make the most of the seating areas and perhaps cook a feast on the BBQ, all while absorbing those fantastic views.
You’ll be ideally placed for restorative nature walks through the surrounding heathland, which is teeming with wildlife including deer. Just 0.5 miles from your dwelling, join the South West Coast Path, perhaps setting off on the 5-mile walk to Swanage, a fantastic seaside resort 3.5 miles away by road. After a day out visiting Swanage’s Victorian pier, having a browse round the shops then tucking into a fish and chips supper, you can walk back to Studland or catch the bus for an easier journey.
