Full of character, this 16th century Grade II listed thatched cottage enjoys an idyllic location in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is in a great location to explore the region.

A picture-postcard thatched cottage in Burton Bradstock, this property for two guests has the whole package. Homely interiors, nearby shop (10 yards) and pub (25 yards) and access to rolling coastline, you will be spoilt for choice for things to see and do. With so much on offer, enjoy relaxation and exploration in equal measures and let the charm of this Grade II-listed cottage win you over entirely.

A 16th-century terrace cottage, this property has history and character in abundance. Step up through the front door and head into the lounge. A spacious room with wood burner, you can immediately make yourself at home. Sink into the sofa and turn on the TV or bury yourself in a book. From the lounge, a small step up takes you towards the kitchen. Cute and compact, the kitchen has all the appliances and utensils you could need, including oven and hob. Also, on the ground floor is the wet room, fitted with shower and WC. Up the steep, cottage-style stairs you can find the light and airy bedroom, sporting soothing tones and a king-size bed. In true period fashion, the bedroom has a low window and some reduced head height in the eaves. Outside, there is a spacious, enclosed garden accessed via a small set of steps. Split over different tiers, you can make use of the garden’s seating or take a blanket onto the lawn for summer picnics.

Boasting great access to local amenities and attractions, you don’t have to go far for action. Less than 1 mile from the beach, walk along the shoreline and breathe in fresh sea air, before paying a visit to one of the seafront cafes. Only 2 miles from West Bay, a trip to this small harbour village is definitely recommended. For shopping, Bridport (3 miles) is the place to go.

We had a wonder stay and lots to see around and about. The cottage is basic but what would you expect of something so quaint and of its' age. Don't expect luxury! Enjoy the locality and the beautiful surroundings it has to offer. Better suited to those not of a certain age!

Good location; very close to local amenities and a short walk to the beach. Good parking spots right outside. The garden was lovely - the bench at the back would benefit from a clean. The cottage was cosy, but the bed pillows are uncomfortable - too flat and firm. Difficult to fall asleep initially. Better pillows advised. A deep clean is needed - Read moreespecially the red carpet in the living room. Visibly dirty with a smell to it. Good board games. Great place if you're spending more time outdoors. Hide
