Filled with original charm, this idyllic terraced cottage retains much of its original charm with exposed beams, inglenook fireplace with a wood burner.

Providing you with a warm welcome to the quaint village of Cerne Abbas, this pretty cottage is a real home from home. Within 20 miles from your door is the spectacular Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site, perfectly dotted with bays and coves. Spend days exploring far and wide or close to home before returning to cosy up by the wood burner or spending time in the garden. Sleeping four guests across two bedrooms, invite family and friends away and start packing your bags.

Brimming with original features, step into the lounge where exposed beams and the traditional fireplace add character and charm. Curl up on the sofa or grab a chair and delve into a good book or your favourite TV programme. Step up to the kitchen/diner, the heart of the home where you can cook up a storm, enjoy delicious meals and gather at the table for a cuppa. With garden views and country-cottage charm, it’s a lovely space in which to spend time and leads to the gorgeous patio and garden. Take a tipple outside and savour sips at the table or climb six steps to the enclosed lawn which is surrounded by mature trees. After delicious dinners and sundowner drinks, climb steep stairs to the first floor where a pair of bedrooms await weary heads, and the family bathroom invites you to soak. Both bedrooms are decorated in tranquil tones and are peaceful places to drift off and dream. There is roadside parking outside.

Wander from your door and explore the network of well-trodden paths and bridleways. Head up the hill to visit the Cerne Abbas Giant who sits less than half a mile from your door or take a trip to the coast and travel to one of many local beaches and seaside resorts. A 16-mile trip will take you to the vibrant hub of Weymouth where fish and chips, perfect sandcastle-building spots and the glittering sea await. Hop in the car and treat yourselves to a night off from the kitchen in the town of Dorchester (8 miles) where you can enjoy a night at the movies, too.

A very comfortable cottage with wood burning stove in a beautiful village. Three pubs, of which we tried two - which both had good food. About 30 to 40 minutes from the various coastal destinations we visited. It's a pity there is no recycling collection (as the cottage is a business??). The shower is a hand-held in the bath if that matters. Take aRead more torch out at night as there is very little street lighting - although the dark skies a re great for star-gazing. Hide

Lovely cottage in a lovely pretty location. Would be lovely for a winter stay. Great to have 3 pubs on the doorstep and a good local shop. Spent most of our time out and about (the girls loved Weymouth beach) but had a couple of meals and a bbq at the cottage. Lovely stay and a welcomed break after a long 18 months!

We had a lovely week in Bramble Cottage, a very comfortable well equipped home from home, the patio providing a peaceful sun trap and the perfect spot for a mid morning coffee. Ideally placed for exploring coast and country we had no issues with parking on return from days out. We are looking forward to a return visit.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in cosy Bramble Cottage. Lovely location. We had everything we needed and were comfortable. No designated parking space on road outside, so not always able to park directly outside house, but always able to park.

A fantastic cosy cottage in a beautiful location. We are three work weary colleagues who were wanting a much needed break - and we had a fabulous time! Bramble cottage is situated in the small village of Cerne Abbas. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with our teenage daughters and hope to come again. Although it's just three hours from London and the South East, Dorset feels like a world away from the hubbub of the city. This gem of a county offers the very best of rural England: magnificent coastal scenery, vast sandy beaches, rolling hills, charming villages, country pubs, stately homes and medieval castles.

Take time to explore the dramatic and diverse coastline. Stretching 95 miles from East Devon to Poole, the Jurassic Coast has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and is the only natural phenomenon in England to achieve this status. Here, visitors can uncover Earth's fascinating history whilst enjoying unspoilt views over superb beaches, many of which welcome canine companions too. From the iconic rural rock arch at Durdle Door to the endless sandy expanses of Studland, Dorset has it all.

Why not head to Lyme Regis, classified as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty? Like much of West Dorset, it has an old-world ambience and offers excellent fossil hunting opportunities. Or head east to discover the beauty of Lulworth and the vibrant seaside resort of Swanage.

Steeped in history and with a certain quintessential charm, Dorset's glorious countryside is peppered with small towns and villages which are well worth a visit. Many are graced with fine buildings, immortalised in the books of Thomas Hardy, a Dorset-born novelist and poet. For more energetic visitors, footpaths and cycleways reveal the county's hidden secrets with the coast always close at hand for those who love the water.
