Bricklesey Cottage is absolutely charming. Given some of the reviews we had read it absolutely exceeded expectations. The house itself is a great size and our party of 5 had plenty of space. Bricklesey Cottage is in a very good location, near to the beach and shops but away from the majority of traffic. We found we didnt need to travel far for things to do. They say you should never go back - but this was our second visit to Bricklesey Cottage, and it was just as lovely as we remembered it from the first time! Do not book this cottage unless you have a small car or are prepared to pay 10 per day parking in a pay and display. Generally speaking this is a lovely property and fantastic location. Stairs are a little steep but thats not surprising given the age of the property.

A nice cottage with good quality fittings, lacked a bit of personality for me but that could be down to some soft furnishings missing due to covid. The location is great and easy to go to visit other places. There's a lovely range cooker but l never found any instructions how to use it which was a shame. The cottage is in an ideal location to explore Lul worth Cove and Durdle Door. The cottage is well equipped, and the accommodation is comfortable. However, the staircase is not suitable for elderly guests or young children due to the narrow treads at the top which turn on themselves making it difficult to carry babies and small children.

Cottage is in a great location for walkers and is a good space for up to 6 people. Welcome basket was a nice touch and beds were comfy with fresh linen. If you have a spider phobia its not for you, lots of cobwebs, we hoovered up about 10 long leggy spiders in the bedroom alone when we arrived. Rather tired decor and a deep clean needed!

Overall, a beautiful cottage with quality furnishings, comfortable beds, spacious rooms and well equipped kitchen, all set in a fantastic location. However, there were LOTS of cobwebs and dust in every room, indicating a lack of thoroughness in cleaning. The front door was also very unwelcoming, again covered in dust and cobwebs.

The cottage was very well located and generally presented to a high standard. The only comments we have are small, like the initial view of the building would be enhanced by 'tarting up' the front door. It is very tired looking and could do with a coat of paint or varnish. The only other thing would be allowing the large glass door in the games rooRead morem to open out onto the yard area. Other than that all was fine. Hide
