Rustle up tasty picnics, throw together lunches and cook up three-course feasts for all to enjoy. When the sun shines long into the evening, plate up outside and lap up the fresh air, or stay cosy and warm inside and savour each mouthful at the dining room table which shares its space with the lounge. After dinner, curl up on the sofas and put on a film for a lazy movie night before the adventures begin again tomorrow. Once rested and refreshed after a good night’s sleep in one of four bedrooms (three of which are located on the first floor), visit the neighbouring holiday park and enjoy use of the shared facilities including a swimming pool, sauna, gym and play area for younger guests. The toilet roll holders were rusty and the downstairs toilet seat was loose with no lid. The downstairs toilet also has clear glass window looking out over a car parking space so the blind had to be down at all times. Having to pay for WiFi is unusual in this day and age. On the plus side, a very good location, close to shops and easy walk to the bRead moreeach. Comfortable beds and bath towels good quality. Pool clean and a good size. Enjoyed a good meal in restaurant. Play area good and well maintaine. Hide

Initially, we were disappointed that the pool, gym and cafe were all closed, but as we were fortunate with the weather during our week at Manor Farm, the closures didn't have any impact on our enjoyment. The cottage was extremely clean, and there was plenty of room for everyone. Also, we couldn't have wished for a better location. Charmouth is a loRead morevely village, and we especially enjoyed walking to the bakery for croissants and pastries, and of course, the short walk to the beach. Hide

We were very impressed with the cottage. It was very well equipped with quality items. In a good position for the beach and shops. The owner and staff went out of their way to be helpful and friendly. We could not fault it and hope to return next year.

The 'cottage' was lovely. 4 spacious bedrooms including one with ensuite, which was particularly beautiful. A clean and tidy complex with plenty of parking. In a good location within walking distance to the beach. Close to other towns too. We would be happy to return.

Great location - but many facilities mentioned on the webpage remain out of use despite restrictions easing. We ended up driving to Axminster to use the public pool which is open with minimal restrictions- off site coffee shops and bars as the on site ones remain closed..

An excellent location for exploring the region. We cannot see the point of having a gated entrance to the properties when you have three cars to contend with! Considering the difficult times we are experiencing the owners of the property did a good job in coping

The cottage was very modern, clean and comfortable, with all the facilities for enjoying a family holiday. There was plenty of space for eight people and we especially enjoyed the settees, all with footrests.

The cottage is in the ideal location. There's enough bathrooms/bedrooms but the kitchen, living room & dining room were not big enough for the number of people. The only thing you can do in the swimming pool is actually swim and you are constantly watched to ensure you are sticking to their very long list of rules. You can't have any toys, diving baRead morells etc and there's no jumping in. I definitely wouldn't recommend it for any families with children. Hide

Although it's just three hours from London and the South East, Dorset feels like a world away from the hubbub of the city. This gem of a county offers the very best of rural England: magnificent coastal scenery, vast sandy beaches, rolling hills, charming villages, country pubs, stately homes and medieval castles.

Take time to explore the dramatic and diverse coastline. Stretching 95 miles from East Devon to Poole, the Jurassic Coast has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and is the only natural phenomenon in England to achieve this status. Here, visitors can uncover Earth's fascinating history whilst enjoying unspoilt views over superb beaches, many of which welcome canine companions too. From the iconic rural rock arch at Durdle Door to the endless sandy expanses of Studland, Dorset has it all.

Why not head to Lyme Regis, classified as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty? Like much of West Dorset, it has an old-world ambience and offers excellent fossil hunting opportunities. Or head east to discover the beauty of Lulworth and the vibrant seaside resort of Swanage.

Steeped in history and with a certain quintessential charm, Dorset's glorious countryside is peppered with small towns and villages which are well worth a visit. Many are graced with fine buildings, immortalised in the books of Thomas Hardy, a Dorset-born novelist and poet. For more energetic visitors, footpaths and cycleways reveal the county's hidden secrets with the coast always close at hand for those who love the water.
