Just a half-mile walk from dog-friendly Hive Beach and cafe, two wonderful pubs and a superb restaurant and bar, you’re never short of local food and fun. Join the exquisite South West Coast Path in either direction from Hive Beach, and explore the Bride Valley’s delightful villages and churches and sublime scenery and wildlife. Charter a boat from beautiful West Bay in Bridport (3 miles), join a fossil walk and immerse yourself in Bridport’s vintage shops, markets and cool cafe culture.

Inside the cottage, you’ll find a charming blend of relaxed rural elegance and chic contemporary comfort. After thrilling days of discovery along the Jurassic Coast, gather round the inglenook fireplace in the charismatic lounge, with its wide sofas, original flagstone floor and wonderful semi-exposed walls. Prepare sumptuous local seafood on the AGA in the spacious and characterful kitchen/diner amidst pretty tiles, deep-set windows, copper pans and original bricks and beams. Upstairs, soak in a steaming tub in the blissful seaside bathroom, before a nightcap and a sweet sleep in one of the three dreamy bedrooms, each with original features such as floorboards, a fireplace and exquisite views through nine-paned windows. We would definitely recommend this property to others. We have stayed in many places with family over the years and this is one of the best. The situation is wonderful - ten minutes walk through fields to the beach, a quiet lane with no traffic, the church next door, thatched roofs all around. The cottage is a gem and has been refurbished wonderfulRead morely. Everything is of a high standard,, particularly the bedding, the kitchen is exceptionally well appointed - and how wonderful to find the Aga on! The cottage is warm as toast, the Wi-Fi reliable. Lovely little cottage in a great location, both the village and local town are a pleasure to visit. The cottage had everything we needed - we ate in quite a bit so used the kitchen which is fully equipped for self catering. We had a great family holiday.

The cottage was really lovely - beautifully furnished, well kept, clean and tidy. The bedding was so lovely and soft. The location was perfect for us, set in the small and picturesque village but only 5-10min walk from Hive beach! We had such a great week staying here!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Clapper Bridge Cottage. It is a characterful and comfortable holiday home set in a beautiful and very convenient location for exploring all that Dorset has to offer. The on site parking was a real bonus and the enclosed garden is a lovely place to relax in the sun or dine al fresco.

The cottage is beautiful and has everything you could need for a getaway in a stunning location. The beds are extremely comfortable with lovely pillows and duvets. The rest of the house is beautifully appointed which gives a luxury feel to your holiday. The village has fantastic pubs and the cafe at Hive Beach is easily accessible on foot. Clapper Bridge Cottage in Burton Bradstock fulfilled all our needs - dog friendly within walking distance of restaurants, pubs, and village shop. Clapper Bridge Cottage was a wonderful place to spend Christmas. The cottage was so warm and cosy and well equipped. A Christmas tree was put up for us which was lovely.

A lovely thatched cottage in a friendly village. Two pubs, within a few minutes walk from the cottage and the beach a short 10 minute stroll. Perfect location to explore the nearby coastline. Cottage is well equipped with a small wall garden together with its own well. Really pretty. Thoroughly recommend and would definitely stay here again.

Great location - 2 mins from village but feels private. Comfy good size bed rooms. Well equipped kitchen with good facilities and a pretty courtyard garden. Only draw back for larger party would be single bathroom.

A beautiful cottage in a lovely village, the walk to the sea is easy and takes only 10 minutes at a leisurely pace. Both the pubs in the village serve lovely food and allow dogs. We had a great time and Bridport is a lovely town to visit.

A beautiful cottage in a very pretty quiet village. The cottage was very well equipped. We loved the interior decoration. We enjoyed a lovely holiday with family. The beach is a short walk away and the Hive Beach cafe is a perfect place for breakfast or lunch.

We took old friends from the US for a short stay and we were delighted with what we found. There is lots to do in this area, to suit all tastes: but, most important of all, Clapper Bridge Cottage was just lovely. This is a lovely cottage, in a perfect spot in the most adorable village. Lovely little garden. Ten min walk from the beach (dogs allowed) and other walks straight from the door. Although it's just three hours from London and the South East, Dorset feels like a world away from the hubbub of the city.
