One-of-four barn conversion properties situated on the owners’ farm in the beautiful mid-Dorset countryside, enjoying shared access to an indoor heated pool and children’s play area.

This single-storey converted barn is a fabulous home from home with plenty to keep you entertained. Spend sociable times enjoying communal dinners and sundowner drinks after working up an appetite in the shared indoor pool and wandering the grounds and the lakes (also shared with other properties on site). Just 30 miles from the Jurassic Coast and close to an abundance of well-trodden trails, explore far and wide or stay near the farm before returning home to relax in style. Sleeping four across two bedrooms, bring your pup along and have a ball with all the family.

Step inside and find yourself in the heart of the home where the lounge, kitchen and diner all fit together to create a vibrant hub of the house. Filled with heat from the wood burner and plenty of natural light, snuggle down on the sofa in front of the TV and sit awhile beneath the splendid, vaulted ceiling. Stocked high with your provisions and fresh local produce picked up on your way home from adventures, venture into the kitchen where colourful tiles greet you with warmth and welcome you to rustle up something delicious. Plate up either inside or on the unenclosed patio and garden if the weather is balmy, and enjoy a sociable dinner filled with tipples and tales of the day. Two bedrooms are calming spaces in which to rest your head after soaking in the en-suite bathroom or rinsing in the en-suite wet room. Rise and shine and make the most of the shared facilities before heading out to explore. There is ample off-road parking.

The iconic cove at Lulworth is 30 miles from your door and is a must-visit destination when holidaying in picturesque Dorset. From here, you can walk the 1.5-mile path atop the cliffs to Durdle Door, where the magnificent natural arch provides a stunning view, and the seas are perfect for swimming in. Lovely cottages on a working farm, each with own table n chairs on patio. Shared paddock and play area. Beautiful grounds and lake, I could have stayed by lake all day. Excellent pool, because of Covid each property has a 2 hour slot every day which felt like having a luxury holiday.

A perfect getaway for anyone wanting to stay in this lovely part of Dorset. Sherborne is a lovely town within easy reach. A visit to Lyme Regis (just under and hour by car) in the winter sunshine with no crowds was a highlight. The swimming pool was the icing on the cake for days when the wealthier wasnt so good.

This was an absolutely lovely cottage to stay in. Having stayed in a number of cottages this one was very well appointed, with everything you would need for a stay already thought of. The swimming pool is an excellent addition along with the playing field and football goals - a must for kids.

Although it's just three hours from London and the South East, Dorset feels like a world away from the hubbub of the city. This gem of a county offers the very best of rural England: magnificent coastal scenery, vast sandy beaches, rolling hills, charming villages, country pubs, stately homes and medieval castles.

Take time to explore the dramatic and diverse coastline. Stretching 95 miles from East Devon to Poole, the Jurassic Coast has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and is the only natural phenomenon in England to achieve this status. Here, visitors can uncover Earth's fascinating history whilst enjoying unspoilt views over superb beaches, many of which welcome canine companions too. From the iconic rural rock arch at Durdle Door to the endless sandy expanses of Studland, Dorset has it all.

Why not head to Lyme Regis, classified as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty? Like much of West Dorset, it has an old-world ambience and offers excellent fossil hunting opportunities. Or head east to discover the beauty of Lulworth and the vibrant seaside resort of Swanage.

Steeped in history and with a certain quintessential charm, Dorset's glorious countryside is peppered with small towns and villages which are well worth a visit. Many are graced with fine buildings, immortalised in the books of Thomas Hardy, a Dorset-born novelist and poet. For more energetic visitors, footpaths and cycleways reveal the county's hidden secrets with the coast always close at hand for those who love the water.
