Immaculately decorated, this contemporary stone house has a luxury finish and room for all the family in a village location – yet is only 4 miles from the coast.

This newly-built property, peacefully located in a hamlet close to the resort of Swanage, has ample space for seven guests across its four bedrooms. Boasting beautiful views across the valley, you can catch glimpses of the steam trains puffing across the valley floor. With the station just a few hundred metres away, you can even hop on a train for an adventure. The coast just 2.5 miles away, making this the ideal property for extended families or larger groups to discover all that the Dorset countryside and coast has to offer. The local pub is just 2 miles away for when you don’t fancy cooking.

Inside, the property is stylish, spacious and elegantly finished – with a large kitchen and dining area featuring granite worktops, a breakfast bar and a double oven with patio doors leading onto the terrace outside. A separate living room features a wood burner and Smart TV for cosy nights in. Upstairs you’ll find two king-size bedrooms both complete with en-suite shower rooms as well as a further twin and single, and an additional family bathroom. To the front of the property is a large paved area to park and to the rear, a great patio terrace with a lawn to enjoy beautiful countryside views. There is a charcoal BBQ available for guests to use.

Head the 3.5 miles to Swanage and hop aboard a steam train and journey back in time to the National Trust’s historic Corfe Castle – which is in fact just over 2 miles from the property itself if you fancy getting there under your own steam! Swanage is also home to a Victorian pier with a maritime museum, a variety of cafes and the opportunity to take a boat trip should you wish to. Just under 5 miles away is Durlston Country Park – a spectacular clifftop nature reserve or, for those looking for a bit more adrenaline, why not try your hand at coasteering?

This is a beautiful, well equipped modern house. The house is very spacious and worked really well for our family group of four adults and two children. It is very close to Harmans Cross station where you can catch the Swanage train and next to the station is a childrens playground. Lovely property. Quiet, clean, spacious & ideal for two families. We had awful weather so it was a good base to return to. Convenient for all parts of Purbeck. We would recommend & will return.

Fieldfare was a great property for our family group which ranged in ages from 2yrs to 80yrs old. We loved the space it provided for everyone as well as the outdoor area with beautiful views over farmland and spectacular sunsets. The cottage is perfectly positioned between Corfe & Swanage with Studland Beach also close by. Perfection! This is our number one cottage in Dorset, now. Everything we needed in the kitchen was there, the rooms were spacious and the ensuite bedrooms were very comfortable. The west-facing patio was very extensive and provided with an excellent table and more padded chairs than we needed. Great views over the countryside. Very quiet area and wRead moreell located for pubs, beaches, nature reserves and the railway. Loads of space for parking several cars off road. We had an excellent family holiday! Hide

Great house - everything you need, well planned, quiet and comfortable. A very easy house for a big family holiday in an excellent location near a super play park and steam railway station and easy reach of Corfe, Swanage and Studland.

Fieldfare is a lovely holiday home. It is very quiet and private. You can easily get to Swanage or Corfe Castle by bus or steam train and there are plenty of fabulous walks in the surrounding area. The children love the steam railway which is 2-3 mins walk away and the village playground which is next to it.

The best holiday in England we have ever had, the cottage is beautiful. The views from the garden are just scenic and the amount of wildlife in the field behind were amazing to watch. My children loved having the space to play in the house/garden and they really enjoyed seeing/hearing the Steam Train. We went to Corfe castle which is definitely a mRead moreust see and only 10 minute drive away. We visited Swanage beach which is lovely and sandy. The most perfect place for a family holiday. Overall this is a great property at a reasonable price for the size. It is very well equipped and has plenty of room. It is in a nice quiet location giving easy access by car to Corfe Castle, Wareham, Swanage and Studland.
