This beautifully-presented traditional ham stone cottage sits in a peaceful rural location with far-reaching views across rolling Dorset countryside. Just 3 miles from the coast at Burton Bradstock and the bustling market town of Bridport, it is perfect for family holidays. While warm summer evenings can be enjoyed in the stunning wild meadow garden, cosy nights in are best spent curled up on the stylish sofas in this property’s charming lounge.

Prepare and enjoy family meals in the double aspect kitchen/diner, which has been beautifully finished with tiled flooring, a butler sink, oak worktops and pantry for making yourselves at home. With a pretty window seat, large dining table and door opening onto the garden, this is a fantastic entertaining space for both day and night. At the end of a busy day, put your feet up in the lounge next door, where you will find an iPod dock and electric flame effect fire, before sinking into one of the five inviting beds in this property’s three elegantly styled bedrooms. Please note, these all have slight reduced height in the eaves. When the sun is shining, step out to the enclosed patio and enjoy a tasty BBQ with the family or take the path up to the glorious sloping wild cottage garden. There is parking on the village lane.

Set in a peaceful pocket of Dorset countryside surrounded by an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this idyllic property is a great choice for keen walkers and guests wishing to get away from it all. Just 3 miles away is the quaint market town of Bridport, home to a good choice of shops, cafes and pubs, while the iconic cliffs of West Bay lie just 5 miles away. From here, the stunning Chesil Beach stretches all the way to the Isle of Portland (18 miles) in the east, perfect for long walks, watersports and swimming.

  • Dogs are not allowed upstairs and dogs must sleep in the kitchen overnight

  • 1 dog allowed. Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week
  • There is an Accidental Damage Deposit of £250 when booking at this property, however this may be waived for £30. We’ll provide more details about this when booking your holiday.

We have had an absolutely gorgeous week at Gemini cottage. We are a family of four so the three rooms ideal. Very comfy and very well equipped. The cottage is so pretty and cosy and is in a great location to explore Dorset. The village is small and quiet and very pretty with a lovely pub just metres away. The cottage was satisfactory for our needs. It is situated in a lovely village which is in easy reach of Bridport and Dorchester. A particular feature of the village is the local pub, The Crown Inn where we were made to feel like locals and where there is an excellent range of homemade meals at reasonable prices

Lovely location but rather old fashioned furniture and damp feeling throughout. No mobile reception other than at very top of steep garden. Parking ok but a little worrying with plenty of through traffic. In our view the cottage was not really value for money.

Overall, our stay at Gemini cottage was excellent. It was comfortable and clean, and good family space. Well equipped throughout and located in a beautiful village with a local pub serving superb food. The nearby beaches, particularly Hive Beach, were great.

The cottage was lovely, the grandchildren had a great time playing in the garden. The village was peaceful with good pubs nearby, also close to Bridport, West Bay and Dorchester. We all had a wonderful time, thank you.

A lovely cottage in a beautiful location. We found lots of pubs in the area for dinner and the scenery is beyond compare. The cottage is well equipped although the shower isnt a strong point. The garden is beautiful and everything is very comfortable. We enjoyed our trip - especially the New Inn at Shipton Gorge, the beach at West Bay, Lyme Regis aRead morend Durlston Country Park and the beautiful walk to Durdle Door. Hide

We loved the cottage and the location - such a cute and cosy home in a beautiful village. Close to a lot of interesting places to explore with the kids. Would definitely recommend for a family stay.
