The heart of the house is the spacious, light-filled and fully equipped kitchen/diner which makes a great space for sharing a family meal, planning the day’s events or for sitting back and relaxing. The main lounge features a Smart TV/DVD, and a cosy wood burner, providing a great spot to relax with a favourite movie in the evening. There’s also a games room and a charming snug, also with a Smart TV and a wood burner set in an inglenook fireplace. The hall features a piano, and heading upstairs, the galleried landing makes a quiet spot for settling down with a good book. The first floor has four pretty bedrooms (one with an en-suite bathroom) and a stylish bathroom. Stepping outside, you will have a choice of two patio areas with plenty of garden furniture, with a lawn wrapping around the house, parking for four cars, and a hot tub with glorious views across the surrounding pastures.

The pretty hamlet of Twyford makes a tranquil base for visiting the popular market town of Shaftesbury (3.5 miles) and for discovering local beauty spots including Hambledon Hill (4 miles), Bulbarrow Hill (11.5 miles) and Melbury Beacon (2 miles). Also within easy reach are the quintessential Dorset towns of Blandford Forum (10.5 miles) and Sturminster Newton (6.5 miles).

We ( 8 adults and 1 large labrador ) all had an amazing time at Greenstones, the property was 1st class , spacious and comfortable . The days in the garden / hot tub, to evenings in front of the log burning fire , everything was provided . A perfect cottage in a super location . Loved the quality of bedding and towels was very luxurious. House and grounds much larger than we expected and the cottage is far bigger than it looks in pictures so very spacious for 7 of us . Ideal for families and group of friends .

Having used many self catering cottages over a lot of years one of the things which stood out was the excellent Bed Linen. In general the house was beautifully furnished and provided all the equipment (of ahigh standard) to enjoy self catering. This is probably one of the best cottages we have every stayed in! Every comfort was catered for and a plethora of equipment ensured that we wanted for nothing. We had a fantastic family holiday, the cottage is suitable for families or groups of friends- I will definitely go back. This is a stunning property in a beautiful location. Nestled in the countryside, but only 35 mins from the bustle of the coast and 10 mins from lovely villages. Peaceful, finished to an incredibly high standard and the owners are absolutely lovely. We couldn't have asked for better and the whole family agreed that we would happily stay here again.

Greenstones is a lovely cottage which we felt at home in instantly. It is light and airy and very comfortable. The owners had thought of everything and our granddaughters loved the dolls house! The hot tub had the best views. Everything was perfect and we had the best time. We loved the kitchen and everything had been thoughtfully done.

If you fancy lounging around and having full reign of a cottage that feels like a 5 star hotel then Greenstones is for you! Family and pet friendly, we found everything to be thoughtful and perfect from the hot tub and fluffy robes and slippers to the amazing garden and indoor fire places. So many relaxing nooks! Greenstones is the perfect place for children and adults. Everything has been well thought out - there are lots of games for the kids and luxurious interiors/appliances for the adults to appreciate (in rain or sunshine). It is set in a beautiful location.
