Self-catering accommodation in Burton Bradstock

Burton Bradstock is a large but exceptionally pretty Dorset village on the River Bride where it cuts through the World Heritage Jurassic coastal cliffs to provide access to the sea. It has a shop, two pubs, and a bar/restaurant as well as a recreation ground and a cafe on the nearby Hive Beach, which is also a popular fishing spot and great for families with dogs. There is ample parking which is free for National Trust members. The nearby Cogden Beach is great for those who like a tranquil sunbathing spot - it is backed by scenic farmland and offers a variety of wildlife and coastal flowers as well as having parking at the top of the hill, again free for National Trust members. Bridport is also just a short drive away.

The Trust looks after a spectacular stretch of coastline with dramatic cliffs and miles of beaches. There is plenty of walking with miles of footpaths surrounding the area as well as circular walks. There are two particularly popular routes at Burton Bradstock and its neighbour, Cogden, both taking in sections of the South West Coast Path with lots of interesting sites to visit along the way.
