Self-catering accommodation of Charmouth

As well as its sandy beach, fossil-hunting cliffs and spectacular views of Golden Cap, this large seaside village has a good selection of shops, pubs, restaurants as well as pretty Georgian/Regency buildings. There is an excellent Heritage Coast Centre with fossil collections, advice on fossil hunting and a guided fossil hunting walk. Charmouth is also a great destination for walking, and there are many attractive routes running both inland to the picturesque Dorset and East Devon countryside, as well as along the South West Coast.

This delightful unspoilt village is set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and the beach between Charmouth and Lyme Regis has a claim to fame as the only UK entry in National Geographic's '21 Best Beaches in the World 2017'. Its olde-worlde charm attracts visitors from all over the globe who come for a taste of life in the slow lane and a glimpse into traditional British beach life.
