Self-catering holiday accommodation in Corfe Castle

This extremely charming and popular Purbeck village is famed for the imposing ruins of Corfe Castle that dominate its skyline. Managed by the National Trust, the castle sits atop a hill above this most quintessential of English villages. Dotted among the grey Purbeck limestone buildings there are plenty of places to eat and drink, a good bakery, a National Trust shop and independent boutiques.

Consisting of two main streets, East Street and West Street and linked to a square, this village is small but full of life. Historically guarding the main route through the Purbeck Hills, you will see the 'gap' between the south of Purbeck where the famous Purbeck Marble was quarried, and the rest of the country. The village is also home to a charming model village which gives visitors a glimpse into life in the village before it was destroyed, it also has a Parish Church dedicated to King Edward over a thousand years ago. If you want to see the surrounding countryside, why not hop aboard the Swanage Railway which will take you from Corfe Castle station to Swanage on a vintage steam train.
