Stay at this gorgeous stone cottage in magical Corfe Castle and find yourself at the heart of the scenic Isle of Purbeck peninsula in Dorset. Follow footpaths across the countryside, take walks along the dramatic Jurassic Coast or swim from the sandy beach at Swanage, 6 miles away. This charming, two-bedroom character home sleeps four guests and welcomes one delighted dog.

Step into the Grade II-listed cottage, which dates back to 1780 and features exposed timbers and flagstone floors. Return from busy days out to watch TV or a DVD in the lounge and perhaps light the open fire. Cook meals in the kitchen, with its electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge and then sit down to eat in the dining room. Find a washing machine and freezer are also provided and that there is a ground-floor WC. Make your way up the narrow, cottage-style stairs to a double bedroom and a family bathroom, with bath, walk-in shower, and WC. A twin, attic bedroom, with an en-suite shower room with WC, and restricted headroom can be found up another set of steep cottage-style stairs. This large room has far-reaching views. Make the most of the enclosed garden on warm days. Open the gate on to a path to grassy Corfe Castle Common where children can play. There is unallocated, off-road parking for one car in front of the property.

Enjoy your stay in Corfe Castle, with its independent shops, galleries and eateries. See the ruins of the castle, which was built by William the Conqueror. Take a steam train to Swanage for an afternoon in building sandcastles and swimming in the sea. Head 5.5 miles to Kimmeridge Bay, to go rock pooling and snorkelling, or pack a picnic and visit famous Lulworth Cove, 12 miles away.

Cottage is cosy and well appointed. Summer house in the courtyard garden is nice. Downstairs rooms are a bit gloomy. The location is great for local amenities but the cottage is situated on a very busy road. The loud traffic noise is constant from 5am to midnight. It had a small but well equipped kitchen, okay for a couple but more guests could strRead moreuggle with the space. Staircase is very narrow and steep to the attic bedroom. Great cottage close to so many sites of interest in the Purbeck area. Fab summerhouse and garden to relax in. Cottage was very comfortable and well equipped for our stay

This is a lovely cottage, ideally located for fantastic walks and a short stroll across the common to the castle, pubs and shops in the village. It's on a main road, the road is very busy from 6am to midnight so we found it difficult to sleep because of the noise. If you're used to peace and quiet, then think again. We have been to Honeypot on several occasions and look on it as a home from home. It is very comfortable and has all that you need . The beds are so comfortable, hence getting up in the morning is an effort! The summer house is a great asset and a lovely way to spend an afternoon on a hot day. A beautiful, well equipped cottage, with some lovely original features, situated in a beautiful part of Dorset. The view from the field at the bottom on the garden is absolutely stunning, and the cottage is in easy reach of all the facilities in Corfe Castle.

A cosy base for exploring the area. As walkers and birders we got out every day despite some wet and windy weather. RSPB Arne is a must of course, and the wader roost can also be seen from the NT hide at Middlebere. Great walks along the coast path south of Worth Matravers, with white-tailed eagle and peregrine. Very nice cottage for a week away, we loved it. Comfortable, well equipped and homely. Well placed in the village and within easy reach of lovely beaches at Studland. I would have stayed longer if I could.

Lovely cottage that is well equipped and in an ideal location for exploring the area. Corfe village centre is only a short stroll away. Access to the common at the back of the cottage was a nice surprise with beautiful views of Corfe Castle.

Lovely location, with everything provided for a clean and comfy stay. Nice touches like a welcome scones and coffee, maps, games, bath, and plenty of kitchenware. Comprehensive info pack with great recommendations. Parking was easy, everything was clean and well maintained, nice summer house, all mod cons. We loved our home from home.
