A charming little retreat for two sitting within the pretty coastal village of Preston, well-appointed to discover Weymouth and the picturesque Jurassic Coast with all its attractions.

Sitting just outside of the coastal town of Weymouth, this ancient stone and cob cottage is ideally located. Hidden from the main road by trees, you can enjoy privacy whilst having easy access to local shops (100 yards) and pubs (500 yards). Head down the outside steps and let your holiday begin. Benefiting from lots of room, there is plenty of space to move about and settle in. After a long-day sightseeing, the lounge will be a favourite spot for unwinding. Light the wood burner for extra comfort and turn on the TV for a documentary or show. With handsome period features, the lounge has a charming authenticity as well as inherent cosiness. Stepping into the generously-sized kitchen, you will find everything you could need and more for hearty breakfasts and refuelling dinners. Take your meals alfresco in the garden or sit around the lounge’s dining table. As well as comfortable living areas, the ground floor also houses the bathroom. Here, there is a bath with shower overhead and WC. Up the open tread stairs, the you will find the bedroom. Featuring reduced height in the eaves, low windows, period features and a double bed, the bedroom oozes charm. Outside the garden with steps has a sloping lawn and lends itself well to summer afternoons in the sunshine.

Exploring the local area, you will be spoilt for things to do, especially in Weymouth itself. Nice place to stay for one or two people. No garden gate and on a busy road so dog owners be aware. Handy for all tourist areas. Warm and clean. Well equipped. Firm mattress. Steep stairs to bedroom. Steps to cottage door. Ok if mobility is good.

A delightful cottage, well maintained, clean and in a good location. You need to be able bodied to enjoy it as external access is via steps and the internal stairs are steep. Highly recommended.

For a couple and their dog, this fits the bill. It's an ideal location for exploring Dorset. Whilst a car is needed for exploring the coast and inland towns, the nearest beach at Bowleaze Cove is just a 20mins walk away, via Church road.
