Stepping into the generously-sized kitchen, you will find everything you could need and more for hearty breakfasts and refuelling dinners. This cottage may be small but it's very comfortable, it may be on a main road but it's very quiet. It is also wonderfully placed for visiting everywhere from Swanage in the east to Lyme Regis in the west and the lovely places inland like Sherborne. It has small grocery shops, nice pubs and two fish and chip shops on its doorstep and is within a shoRead morert distance of walks and beaches. We've stayed here twice now and love it - we will definitely be back. Hide

Nice place to stay for one or two people. No garden gate and on a busy road so dog owners be aware. Handy for all tourist areas. Warm and clean. Well equipped. Firm mattress. Steep stairs to bedroom. Steps to cottage door. Ok if mobility is good.

A delightful cottage, well maintained, clean and in a good location. You need to be able bodied to enjoy it as external access is via steps and the internal stairs are steep. Highly recommended.

Whilst a car is needed for exploring the coast and inland towns, the nearest beach at Bowleaze Cove is just a 20mins walk away, via Church road. The Springhead gastropub at nearby Sutton Poyntz is excellent, a 25mins walk. There are lots of trekking opportuRead morenities in the surrounding hills, as well as along the local coastline. The house was extremely clean, well equipped with all necessary facilities and it was very quaint and cosy (especially with the fire lit)- a perfect size for two.
