This five-bedroom property is a great choice for a family holiday in an excellent setting within the heart of the village and has direct access to the coast path leading to Lulworth Cove.

West Lulworth draws many visitors for good reason. The stunning Jurassic Coast runs beside the village and includes the much-photographed landmarks of Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove. The village has a good selection of amenities including a shop and pub and is ideally placed for touring the local beaches, with Kimmeridge and Ringstead Bay being within easy reach. The county town of Dorchester is 10 miles north-west or visit historic Wareham 7 miles to the north-east. Here you can walk within the old walls or enjoy lunch beside the river. Those looking for a family-friendly day out can visit the Sealife Centre in Weymouth or Abbotsbury Swannery .

A flight of external steps leads to the main entrance into this detached property. Once inside you are met with a useful boot room, which leads into an inner hallway with a separate WC. Just opposite is the bathroom, which has a bath, separate shower and WC. A door leads from the hallway into a striking open-plan lounge/diner, perfect for family get-togethers. Set to the front of the property is a spacious lounge with a cosy wood burner and Smart TV, ideal for settling down together and watching a film after a day spent exploring. In the dining area, there are patio doors overlooking the garden. Just next door is the contemporary kitchen, which is well-equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. Across the lounge/diner you will find three bedrooms, two of which are super-king-size (which can be made up as twins on request) and there is also one twin room. A flight of stairs leads from the dining area to the first floor where there is another super-king-size bedroom (which can be a twin) and a king-size bedroom set into the eaves. Please note some areas are height restricted. The king-size has an en-suite shower room with shower and WC.

Heading outside via either the dining area or kitchen brings you onto a generous patio area with garden furniture. Fairly steep steps and established stone borders lead from here up the hillside to an area of lawn with wonderful views. Due to the changes of level and unenclosed pond care should be taken with children. From the top path at the rear (accessed by a path from the road two doors away), you can directly access the coast path leading down into Lulworth Cove. There is parking on the driveway for two cars. Further roadside parking is subject to availability at the front of the property.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

This property is in a great location close to the Cove and country walks. There is a pub nearby which serves quality food and great service. Car parking can be an issue if you take more than two cars as the roads nearby had little space. The property was comfortable and in a quiet location.

A wonderful place for a large family or group of friends to stay. Well and thoughtfully equipped, everything you need is here. Very comfortable and with a lovely patio area and raised garden, a short stroll from the cove but really quiet.

Sizeable property in a lovely location. Well equipped with tasteful furnishings. Lovely garden, but if you want to sunbathe on the Property's lovely lawn you need much stamina to climb the steps to get there. Beautiful views at the top though. Little dogs may struggle. We would definitely visit again

We were pleasantly surprised by how lovely Moonfleet is. With spacious and well equipped accommodation it was ideal for a family holiday. With a family of eight covering three generations we all had different needs but they were all met. West Lulworth itself is is a very pretty village with pub and shop in walking distance. Good sized accommodation, short walk to pub with good food, 15 mins walk to Lulworth cove can take the back path behind the house to avoid the road. Garden has steep steps and a hidden pond so not ideal for small children unattended. We stayed as 2 families and had a great time.

A really spacious and comfortable cottage in a peaceful location an easy walk from Lulworth Cove. Well equipped with pretty much all the essentials. A big patio with garden furniture. The garden above is steep and terraced, not ideal for small children or people with mobility problems. We had a lovely week here.

The cottage is ideal size and very spacious for a large family. The garden is lovely but would be v difficult to access for older folk or young children. The decor and fittings are dated. Is in a lovely location.

Cottage in ideal location. Lovely village with pub and shop very close. Nice walk to the cove which took about 15mins and saved on steep parking charges at the cove. Cottage could do with a few few things being updated. But otherwise nice hoilday home

Although it's just three hours from London and the South East, Dorset feels like a world away from the hubbub of the city. This gem of a county offers the very best of rural England: magnificent coastal scenery, vast sandy beaches, rolling hills, charming villages, country pubs, stately homes and medieval castles.

Take time to explore the dramatic and diverse coastline. Stretching 95 miles from East Devon to Poole, the Jurassic Coast has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and is the only natural phenomenon in England to achieve this status. Here, visitors can uncover Earth's fascinating history whilst enjoying unspoilt views over superb beaches, many of which welcome canine companions too. From the iconic rural rock arch at Durdle Door to the endless sandy expanses of Studland, Dorset has it all.

Why not head to Lyme Regis, classified as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty? Like much of West Dorset, it has an old-world ambience and offers excellent fossil hunting opportunities. Or head east to discover the beauty of Lulworth and the vibrant seaside resort of Swanage.

Steeped in history and with a certain quintessential charm, Dorset's glorious countryside is peppered with small towns and villages which are well worth a visit. Many are graced with fine buildings, immortalised in the books of Thomas Hardy, a Dorset-born novelist and poet. For more energetic visitors, footpaths and cycleways reveal the county's hidden secrets with the coast always close at hand for those who love the water.
