A wonderful three-bedroom apartment, offering fantastic views and located close to some of the South Coast's best beaches. A truly great choice for your family getaway.

Elevated above the clifftops of Swanage, this charming apartment is ideal for a family holiday by the sea and is well placed for exploring the Jurassic Coast. Sleeping six guests across three bedrooms, the apartment is just a short stroll from Swanage Bay’s plethora of bars, bistros and eateries and a sandy beach. Wander further afield to take in the impressive sights of Corfe Castle, Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door, all within 18 miles, returning for an al fresco drink on your private balcony.

Climb the internal stairs to the second floor and enter to find your spacious lounge/kitchen/diner. Simple yet stylish with cosy furniture and lots of home comforts, you’ll soon be rustling up a feast in the kitchen and lighting the candles to dine at the table. Step out onto the balcony with your morning coffee, and at bedtime chase away the last dregs of energy with your favourite tipple. There are three bedrooms to choose from, one of which has an en-suite shower room, and the remainder share a generous bathroom. There is allocated parking for one car.

Whether you are tempted by water sports in the sea or a casual wander through the town and across the beach, you’ll find something to suit everyone in this marvellous destination. Cliff-top trails stretch in either direction, so keen walkers will enjoy following the South West Coast Path towards Corfe Castle 12.5 miles east, although it may be best to take the train there and walk back as the route is strenuous. Be sure to look out for porpoises and dolphins too; the resident wildlife is a delight to spot.

Spotlessly clean and well equipped flat with nice sea views. It is within walking distance of Swanage town and sea front. There are many local attractions and lovely coastal walks. The flat is not quite as large as the photos suggest but still quite adequate for six people. The lift is a great asset.

What a find this apartment is. It's been really nicely decorated and thoughtfully set up... arriving to find milk in the fridge plus tea, coffee and biscuits, and a lovely welcome note from the owners was just what we needed after a long drive! The sea view from the sitting room is a dream and the location's idyllic; just a few minutes walk to the Read morebeach and Swanage town centre, with the South West Coast Path on your doorstep. Flat kitted out to a very high standard and touches such as milk in the fridge, biscuits, tea and coffee made the flat feel like a real home from home as soon as we walked in - the lift was much appreciated when moving luggage. There were 5 of us and we really enjoyed our holiday here. The apartment overlooks Swanage bay and has a stunning view from the lounge. It is luxurious and well equipped and although it is on the second floor there is a lift. However there is only car parking for one car, so any additional cars have to park in the public car park, which is not cheaRead morep. Hide

Although it's just three hours from London and the South East, Dorset feels like a world away from the hubbub of the city. This gem of a county offers the very best of rural England: magnificent coastal scenery, vast sandy beaches, rolling hills, charming villages, country pubs, stately homes and medieval castles.

Take time to explore the dramatic and diverse coastline. Stretching 95 miles from East Devon to Poole, the Jurassic Coast has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and is the only natural phenomenon in England to achieve this status. Here, visitors can uncover Earth's fascinating history whilst enjoying unspoilt views over superb beaches, many of which welcome canine companions too. From the iconic rural rock arch at Durdle Door to the endless sandy expanses of Studland, Dorset has it all.

Why not head to Lyme Regis, classified as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty? Like much of West Dorset, it has an old-world ambience and offers excellent fossil hunting opportunities. Or head east to discover the beauty of Lulworth and the vibrant seaside resort of Swanage.

Steeped in history and with a certain quintessential charm, Dorset's glorious countryside is peppered with small towns and villages which are well worth a visit. Many are graced with fine buildings, immortalised in the books of Thomas Hardy, a Dorset-born novelist and poet. For more energetic visitors, footpaths and cycleways reveal the county's hidden secrets with the coast always close at hand for those who love the water.
