Occupying a stunning rural location overlooking Blackmore Vale, this stylish holiday let boasts a private hot tub, tranquil country views, a warm and welcoming interior, and use of an all-weather indoor tennis court. Located on an organic farm around half a mile from Okeford Fitzpaine, this two-bedroom property makes an ideal base for couples, families and friends, and can be combined with the neighbouring property for larger groups.

Clad in timber with far-reaching country views, this two-bedroom property is accessed via an unmade road that can be a little bumpy in places. The ground floor is the hub of the property, a spacious, open-plan room with long windows and patio doors to make the most of the surrounding views. Prepare meals in the chic corner kitchen, then gather around the dining table or outdoor picnic table to dine together while discussing your plans for the next day. Recline in the comfortable sofa next to the warming wood burner, or unwind after a country walk in the private hot tub on your outdoor terrace. With sloping ceilings adding charm and character, the two bedrooms (one king and one twin) offer restful places for a refreshing night’s sleep. In addition to your private terrace, there’s an open field for play and an all-weather tennis court. Horse owners can also request use of a stable and paddock.

With numerous trails from your front door, this location is a haven for walkers, cyclists and horse riders. Walk nearby Blackmore Vale, stroll part of the Wessex Ridgeway, or visit the remains of an Iron Age fort at Hambledon Hill and neighbouring Hod Hill (5 miles), from where there are far-reaching views across three counties. The region offers several pretty towns to explore too, including the market town of Sturminster Newton (3 miles), home to a working water mill, and the pretty Georgian town of Blandford Mill (7 miles), where you can visit a local museum and sample a tipple in the brewery.

Please note if you wish to use the lighting in the sports barn, this is charged at £15 per hour and is payable direct to the owner (the natural light in the barn is sufficient in good weather).

We booked this for 3 nights mid week break and the accommodation was really lovely. Not really cold outside for being November but couldn't resist putting the log stove on and watching a real fire. Hot Tub was also lovely to use. A little gem of a place, we had a vert y relaxing stay, bed very comfortable, shower and the facilties great. The view overvthe fields was good. Nice to have the welcome items on artival. We will be back.

Lovely comfortable unit, quality fit-out/furnishings with log fire, hot tub and access to indoor tennis and badminton courts (note: 9-5 weekdays only). Nice location with lovely views across the hillside. A good place to relax/chill (although there is an adjoining unit, this was unoccupied the week we were there).
