This charming two-bedroom property enjoys a quiet location at the end of a row of traditional stone-walled cottages, in a side street near the parish church. It retains many original features, including flagstone floors on the ground level. With the shop and pubs just 100 metres away, and the beach just half a mile, this home is perfect for couples or families looking for a relaxing, seaside holiday.

A cosy and welcoming sitting room awaits as you enter the cottage, with a Smart TV and wood burner-style electric fire. Chairs and a sofa offer the perfect spots to relax and put your feet up after a busy day of exploring. Settle down for something to eat in the small dining room, with window seat and antique court cupboard. The well-equipped galley kitchen, with granite worktops and ice-box fridge, leads through a low doorway into a handy utility area. The bathroom, with a shower over the bath, is also on the ground floor. Head upstairs and you’ll find a double bedroom with an en-suite, along with a single bedroom. Don’t forget to mind your head in the eaves! To the side of the cottage, a step leads up to a delightful stone walled garden with a lawn. There’s also parking for one car on the gravel drive.

Keen walkers will love exploring the countless trails to be found along the Jurassic coastline, as well as in the surrounding countryside. While staying here, though, be sure to visit some of the county’s popular towns. Bridport (3 miles) is a lively little place, famous for its many markets. A visit to West Bay and its harbour, which famously featured in the ITV series Broadchurch, is also a must.

Good position, walk to the beach in less than 10 minutes. Two good pubs within walking distance who serve good meals. We have used this cottage before.

Excellent location for family with a baby. We went with our 18 month old and it was a very enjoyable holiday. The cottage is well laid out and the second bedroom held our travel cot fine. The cottage has a large side garden and parking. We went on walks around the village (and to the pub). Excellent location in a picturesque village. We realised that an old thatched cottage would be relatively compact but it would be informative to at least point out that some of the doorways are low e.g. approx 172cms and 152cms.

The cottage was very cosy and had all that we needed. The only minor thing was the temperature in the living room for this time of year. it was probably the stone floor which took a long time to warm up and left the room a bit on the cold side.
