This fabulous third floor penthouse directly overlooks the picturesque working harbour at West Bay and offers stunning views whatever the weather. A truly memorable base for a holiday by the sea in Dorset

This beautifully decorated third-floor penthouse boasts some of the best views in the area. Spectacular 360-degree vistas of West Bay harbour and the Brit Valley can be appreciated from a marvellous wraparound balcony. The property is also ideally located for access to local shops, pubs and cafes, all of which are approximately 100 yards away.

This property is located on the third floor of an apartment building and accessed via lift or staircase up to a foyer from which you enter the penthouse apartment. The hall allows access to each room and has ample space for storing boots and shoes, as well as a cupboard with a washing machine. The open-plan kitchen/dining/sitting room has a wonderful double-height ceiling and floor-to-ceiling picture windows on one side of the room, really opening up the space and letting in waves of natural light. The kitchen has all modern appliances needed for family dining and this open-plan space is decorated in a contemporary style. From the hall, you access two bedrooms, both of which have doors onto the wraparound balcony. One double bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with shower and there is also a large family bathroom. Outside, the balcony gives wonderful views of the harbour and coastline.

Exploring West Bay itself, you can wander around the working fishing harbour and have a spot of lunch at one of the many cafes. If you’re feeling adventurous you can take the opportunity to catch some mackerel for your dinner on one of the sea fishing excursions. A little further afield, Lyme Regis is a popular destination with its wealth of shops, cafes, restaurants and museums of all descriptions.

Apartment is superb, it was beautifully clean and maintained, with every comfort provided. We spent ages watching the fishing boats coming and going each day! Very sad to leave but have booked to visit again and cant wait!!

We parked our car strickly in accordance with the instructions supplied, but then found within a couple of hours that a Parking Fine was attached to the windscreen . This was a real spoiler for any enjoyment on the first day of our Holiday. Our Rep said not to pay it and to leave it with her to deal with, which we have done in good faith and just hRead moreope that we will hear no more about it! The apartment is modern and comfortable. The harbour setting and outlook is stunning and something I'd never tire of. Rachel, the housekeeper, couldn't have been more helpful or thoughtful throughout our stay. We wouldn't hesitate to book again.

We caught some very rainy and windy weather, the beach was undergoing sea defence upgrade with 30,000 tonnes of rock being transferred from the sea rafts to the beach - very noisy.
