A pretty property that has been lovingly furnished and sits within the owners beautiful gardens. It is a wonderful base from which to explore the stunning countryside and villages of Dorset.

Just 3 miles from the bustling market town of Blandford Forum, this quaint home is the perfect destination for a romantic retreat. Enjoy a rural escape with a loved one and explore near and far, from the local walking trails to the delights of the Jurassic Coast (20 miles). With gorgeous outside spaces to enjoy, spend time basking in the last of the sun or stay warm on chilly evenings and cosy up by the wood burner effect electric fire in the welcoming lounge.

Sitting amid verdant grounds and gorgeous gardens, make yourselves right at home in this humble abode. Flooded with light from the French doors, with books and games piled high to entertain you, the lounge is a lovely space to spend time unwinding. Switch on the TV/DVD for a snug night in or take a tipple outside and watch the sunset and the stars appear if the weather is warm and balmy. With all you need to rustle up three-course feasts and delicious picnics for beach days, the kitchen/diner is a light, fresh space in which to spend time. Plate up inside or step down through the French doors and serve up at the patio table for an al fresco dinner and a few sundowners. You are welcome to explore the owner’s grounds and wander the unfenced pond for a relaxing stroll past blooms and flowers. With a TV for lazy mornings under the covers, the double bedroom invites you to drift off and dream before you wake up for a refreshing shower. There is off-road parking for two cars.

Head to the coast and visit the golden sands of Sandbanks (21.5 miles) which sits near Poole Harbour. Head into Poole (17.5 miles) for a spot of retail therapy or to visit one of many eateries for a night off from the kitchen. The spectacular bay of Lulworth Cove is 23 miles from your door and the glittering ocean is a real sight to behold from this horseshoe-shaped beach. From Lulworth, a 1.5-mile walk takes you to the stunning arch of Durdle Door, a must-visit location when holidaying in magical Dorset.

The location is just beautiful. The garden is immaculate and so peaceful to sit in. The owners were really lovely - very friendly and kind but not intrusive, and very willing to help in any way.

The Linnie is a comfortable and cosy cottage with glorious views of the countryside. The patio and pond provide a relaxing and restful environment. Jane and Erik are welcoming and helpful hosts and we look forward to another holiday there.

The cottage is located in a lovely part of Durweston and is part of the main building. It has plenty of room for two people and is quite spacious. The owners have gone to great lengths to provide everything you need from both practical and entertainment aspects. The cottage is in a beautiful location situated in a quiet village with superb views across the surrounding fields. The cottage is comfortably furnished and well equipped for self catering. Owners are very friendly and accommodating. Cottage very peaceful with lovely outlook over fields from the sitting area. Ideal location for walking straight from house. The 1 mile walk to Stourpaine is a good way to discover your bearings and the pub serves a good lunch.

Had a great stay here. The property is well situated and close to many interesting places in Dorset. The cottage was very clean and comfortable. The garden is a highlight with a great view beyond. Our hosts were very kind and had great recommendations for local restaurants.

This is a lovely, cosy cottage with superb views up the valley. It is well equipped and has just the right amount of space for a couple. The hosts were very attentive to our needs and had supplied a wonderful tray of goodies- wine, beer, cake and sweets. There were also some nice touches such as towels, hand soap and hand cream which we had not encRead moreountered before in other cottages. It is a very nice cottage, with lovely views, a sort of cottage that we would buy ourselves. Dorset is a lovely part of the country. The owners were very nice and helpful. It was very clean with flowers from the garden. A lot NT properties you can visit.

However owner most helpful, in finding local information from supermarkets to good Pubs, where the food was reasonably priced and good value for money

Although it's just three hours from London and the South East, Dorset feels like a world away from the hubbub of the city.
