A beautifully renovated apartment within the cosmopolitan town of Bournemouth, with a wonderful selection of attractions to enjoy and places to eat and drink close by.

Make an escape to the Dorset coastal town of Bournemouth and enjoy a romantic stay for two in this chic, one-bedroom apartment. Stroll down to the sandy beach, wander along the pier, enjoy ambling around the shops and dining out. Head out into the New Forest for long walks and cycle rides through the trees then return home to relax in comfort in the apartment or to unwind with a glass of wine in your courtyard garden.

Step into the hall of this stylish apartment, which has been beautifully converted, to discover a fresh, contemporary interior marrying exquisite grey and off-white colour schemes with natural wood, eye-catching artwork and carefully chosen pieces of furniture and furnishings. Head through to the light-filled bedroom, with its king-size zip and link bed (can be made up as a twin on request at time of booking), and find the shower room next to it. The heart of this inviting apartment, however, is its open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, where you can prepare tasty meals then pull a stool up to the breakfast bar or a chair up to the table to enjoy them together. Wander through to the lounge area after dinner to recline on the soft seating in front of the TV or throw open the patio doors and take your dessert or a cool drink outside into the private, sheltered courtyard garden. There is first-come, first-served parking on the road.

Wander 0.5 miles down to the sea then along the seafront to find your own spot on the sand. Go swimming, surfing, sailing or even kayaking while you are here. Try quieter Southbourne Beach, 4 miles away too. Stroll down to the famous pier, less than 1 mile from the apartment, or over to vibrant Westbourne, 2 miles away, which is a popular shopping and dining area. Drive approximately 9 miles to reach the edge of the beautiful New Forest.

Fantastic apartment with everything you need for a short or long stay. The decor was very stylish and chic and attention to detail was second to none. The location was great too with the beach and a good shopping centre within walking distance. The owners were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. A very enjoyable stay.

Although it's just three hours from London and the South East, Dorset feels like a world away from the hubbub of the city. This gem of a county offers the very best of rural England: magnificent coastal scenery, vast sandy beaches, rolling hills, charming villages, country pubs, stately homes and medieval castles.

Take time to explore the dramatic and diverse coastline. Stretching 95 miles from East Devon to Poole, the Jurassic Coast has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and is the only natural phenomenon in England to achieve this status. Here, visitors can uncover Earth's fascinating history whilst enjoying unspoilt views over superb beaches, many of which welcome canine companions too. From the iconic rural rock arch at Durdle Door to the endless sandy expanses of Studland, Dorset has it all.

Why not head to Lyme Regis, classified as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty? Like much of West Dorset, it has an old-world ambience and offers excellent fossil hunting opportunities. Or head east to discover the beauty of Lulworth and the vibrant seaside resort of Swanage.

Steeped in history and with a certain quintessential charm, Dorset's glorious countryside is peppered with small towns and villages which are well worth a visit. Many are graced with fine buildings, immortalised in the books of Thomas Hardy, a Dorset-born novelist and poet. For more energetic visitors, footpaths and cycleways reveal the county's hidden secrets with the coast always close at hand for those who love the water.
